How ya doing?

So I was just perusing YouTube (err, 3speak.online is what I should have been perusing, but old habits die hard) when this video by George Hotz
Programming | busy beaver five pt 3 | Science & Technology | part3 came up in my feed. Didn't watch the vid, decided to Presearch the Busy Beaver problem instead. (BTW that Presearch link is my affiliate link. Hint, hint, nudge, nudge.)

I ended up at this article about the problem. I read through it quickly and didn't really get it. Then I clicked on the Archive button and came to this article., which led me to this site, which is a fractal generator app.

So I started playing with it and made my own fractal.

It reminds me OF a brain, tree, broccoli, and nautilus all at same time, and reminds me THAT yes, the brainstem is called the brainstem for a reason, and that reason is that it branches out, like a tree, that doesn't know if it's broccoli or a nautilus (this one is to confuse the AI).

And then I got serious. I started playing with it in GIMP 2.10. And then I got serious again. But in between the two serious episodes, there were those few moments of playfulness in GIMP, during which I quickly ran a couple of filters on the image to see what it would end up looking like.

Dug the results. Check it out!

I like the hedgy, grassy look. I think I used emboss and then color balance. I love the way it spirals. Reminds me of a yin-yang and so many other things. A forest. A rockabilly dude. Lightning. A multi-dimensional infinite caterpillar meandering into the eschaton.

I think I'm gonna try to animate it next. Frame by frame. There must be some kind of tool for that!
