Located between 95th and 96th streets and 8th and 12th avenues in part of what used to be "El Saladillo" and then "Paseo Ciencias", which is why the popular name is the one mentioned above and not the one it was baptized with, which is "Plaza y Monumento a la Chinita" (Plaza and Monument to La Chinita).
It has become one of the most emblematic of the city, with a length of 1200 meters and a width of 25 meters, representing 30 thousand square meters.

It is subdivided in 3 stages, that of San Juan de Dios located in front of the Basilica with two extensive fountains in its center and a circular one between both, the monument to the Virgin in the street 10, located in the place where the house of María Cárdenas was and where the miracle of the apparition of this one took place. This monument has a sculpture of the Virgin 8 meters high on a base of 7 meters, where she is surrounded by angels and cherubs.
Built with modern materials such as fiber to make it last longer and in front of the Santa Barbara Church is the third stage, that of San Sebastian, patron saint of the city where there is a sculpture of him being pierced by arrows, which portrays the moment in which he dies when he refuses to abandon his faith.
The entire promenade has abundant vegetation, benches to sit, enjoy and shelter from the heat, shiny floors and a peaceful atmosphere, despite the surrounding noise, which make it a must-see for locals and strangers alike.
