Nigeria has come far as a country right from when she got her independence though many ups and down keep surfacing but then she keeps moving forward.
Gaining independence is an important revolution for a country because it is one of the reasons for the country's existence. how can a country be called a country if it does not have it government??
A country is a group of people related by common languages, history and also having its government .so to be called country independence is required.
Nigerian got her independence on the first of October 1960 and so every first of October like this is a celebration of the independent day.
why do we have to celebrate independent day?
The independent day is celebrated for so many reasons in which I'll highlight some in this post.
The independent day is celebrated to show solidarity of the citizens toward the country, a feeling of support towards the country.
The independent day is also celebrated to recognize and pay respect to the freedom fighters who made the independence possible because they were the ones who ignite the idea and made it possible. people like chief Anthony eromosele enhoro, Remi Fani Kayode, and sir tafawa belewa they are the ones behind the independence of Nigeria,a day like this is to pay tribute to them for the courage and job well done
A day like this is also celebrated to make the young ones aware of the history, to make them familiar with the history of Nigeria.
Nigeria independence day is an official national holiday for the citizens to celebrate.
