The Yoruba culture is a a very beautiful one... taking about the greetings...it is a very important aspect of culture to the Yoruba because it shows how mannered one can be through greetings ...A Yoruba boy would lie down flat to greet while a Yoruba girl would go down on her knees to greet this is a sign of respect..this is how greeting is been done in the Yoruba Land .
Now to the aspect of child naming..the Yorubas take naming very serious because they believe the meaning of a name to be given add to the child's well being in future..so they tend to make proper research before naming.. most child are named from the family's circumstances before the child is born. The nameing of the child take place seven days after the birth.
The Yoruba tribe has a unique type of clothes that differentiate them from other tribe.. before civilization they make use of hand woven cloth (aso oke) for men they wear buba(top) and sokoto(trouser) while women wear buba(top) and iro (wrapper) they also make use of beads, hand lace, necklace.
As men go about with their hair neatly shaved.. the women plait or weave ..part of this hairstyles are suku ,kosoko ,patewo e.t.c..
