Reto: Vacaciones en casa - Mis juegos tradicionales (Eng-Esp)
Very good morning, afternoon, or evening depending on the part of the world where you are when you see this post, in my case it's good Sunday afternoon because I'm in Latin America. Today I want to show you some traditional games from my region that are great for hanging out and producing lots of laughs, at the same time you can share special moments that you will surely remember when you grow up.
In my country, handicrafts have a great cultural value, so it is very easy and economical to buy toys made from waste materials or leftovers from industrial activity that some people collect to transform them with their magic hands into beautiful wooden pieces that adorn the dreams of children.
Some time ago, when I was about 7 years old, I went on a trip to a city called Barquisimeto, there many people make things from wood to sell them on the highway, these are called traditional toys, they also make many musical instruments, but mine were damaged long ago, for so much use I gave them, however, today I want to show you some survivors of my childhood which I still keep with great affection, having them as ornaments in my room and playing with them from time to time.

Hoy quiero mostrarle algunos juegos tradicionales de mi región que son geniales para pasar el rato y producir muchas risas, al mismo tiempo que puedes compartir momentos especiales que seguramente recordaras cuando seas grande.
En mi país la artesanía tiene un gran valor cultural, por lo que es muy fácil y económico comprar juguetes fabricados a partir de materiales de desecho o sobras de la actividad industrial que algunas personas recogen para con sus manos mágicas transformarlos en bellas piezas de madera que adornen los sueños de los niños.
Hace algún tiempo, cuando tenía al rededor de 7 años, fui de viaje a una ciudad llamada Barquisimeto, allí muchas personas hacen cosas de maderera para venderlas en la autopista, estos son los llamados juguetes tradicionales, también ellos fabrican muchos instrumentos musicales, pero los míos ya se dañaron hace tiempo, por tanto uso que les di, sin embargo, hoy quiero mostrarles algunos sobrevivientes de mi época de la niñes los cuales todavía guardo con mucho cariño, teniéndolos como adornos en mi cuarto y jugando con ellos de vez en cuando.
Wooden carts

Otro juguete de madera, pero con características diferentes porque se ve mucho más poderoso y fuerte, este camión me recuerda mucho a los que existen en un trabajo que tenía mi papá hace mucho tiempo, así que cuando yo estaba pequeño ambos creábamos nuestro propio mundo imaginario moviendo mercancías de un lado a otro y divirtiéndonos muchísimo lo cual era genial, porque en esos tiempos yo veía muy poco a mi papá porque él salía trabajar muy temprano y regresaba bastante tarde, pero esperarlo para mí era genial para compartir aunque sea unos pocos minutos jugando con el camión poderoso como le decíamos. Así que si tienes como fabricar uno de estos camiones no dudes en fabricarlo, puedes hacer alguno, incluso usando cartón, lo importante es que le pongas la magia para divertirte imaginando paisajes y cosas grandiosas.

Como pueden ver este avión no es más que un montón de listones de madera unidos con cola, pero no tienen idea de lo atractivo que es para un niño pequeño jugar con esta maravilla llena de divertidos colores, este era uno de mis juguetes preferidos, con él imaginaba de todo, desde de ser un gran piloto militar hasta ser un explorador que quería conocer todo el mundo volando en su pájaro de hierro mágico.

Metras or marbles
This is another traditional game that you can enjoy in a space of land or simply using a small carpet, as I saw on TV, the game of marbles comes from ancient China, and although I do not know how they played it at that time we play it by spreading them in a place and the one who manages to hit one against the other from the starting point is the winner.
The game is simple and fun, you can make two or more teams, you can even play alone if you prefer, just place a small carpet and let fall scattered all over the playing field, 11 marbles or metras, then choose yours and from a corner which we will call starting point try to throw it using your thumb to push it making it roll until it hits another one.
If you manage to hit any of them, that marble is yours, and you will score points, if you don't manage to hit any of them you lose your turn, and you must give way to the other player, oh, and I almost forgot, your next throw will be from the point where your last piece was, but you cannot try to hit the closest one, otherwise it would be too easy.
Las metras o canicas
Este es otro juego tradicional del que puedes disfrutar en un espacio de tierra o simplemente usando una pequeña alfombra, según vi en la televisión, el juego de las canicas viene desde la antigua China y aunque no sé cómo lo jugaban ellos en esa época nosotros lo jugamos esparciéndolas en un sitio y el que más logre chocar una contra la otra desde el punto de partida es el ganador.
El juego es sencillo y divertido, se pueden hacer dos o más equipos, incluso puedes jugarse en solitario si lo prefieres, solo coloca una pequeña alfombra y deja caer regadas por todo el campo de juego, 11 canicas o metras, luego escoge la tuya y desde una esquina a la cual llamaremos punto de partida intenta lanzarla utilizando tu dedo pulgar para impulsarla haciendo que ruede hasta golpear a otra.
Si logras golpear alguna, esa canica es tuya y vas sumando puntos, si no logras golpear ninguna pierdes el turno y debes dar paso al otro jugador, ah y casi lo olvido, tu siguiente lanzamiento será desde el punto donde quedo tu última pieza, pero no puedes intentar golpear a la más cercana, si no sería demasiado fácil.
