Today's headlines bring word of the first New York City case of the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19), along with a big jump to 86 in the total number of US cases. It also contains indications that special interest groups are worried about possible infringements on free speech and mandatory vaccinations. A couple articles also report on NASA images that show a dramatic reduction in air pollution over China as a result of the coronavirus-induced work slowdown.

As mentioned in previous posts, here is a visualization tool for mapping the cases of COVID-19 occurrences. According to the site, this morning's worldwide number of cases was 89,198 with 45,175 recoveries, 3,048 deaths, and 86 case in the US (including 44 from the Diamond Princess and 3 along the east coast, Boston, NYC, and Hillsborough, FL).
