Hola amigos veganos en todo el mundo, hoy les comparto mi participación en la iniciativa mi día de compra vegano #2, propuesto por la amiga @sirenahippie y por invitación de @virgilio07.
Las compras, definitivamente, son mi debilidad al igual que de muchas mujeres, jajaj, cuando salgo de compras, eso me relaja y me inspira, si se trata de la comida; porque sucede muchas veces que, veo el producto y, en mi mente surgen recetas, mezclas y combinaciones! las cuales realizo en casa!
Vivo con mi familia en un pequeño pueblo en el estado Bolívar, Venezuela, donde la compra de verduras, frutas y hortalizas es toda una aventura, acompañenme!
Debo comenzar diciendoles que, en el pueblo no hay centros comerciales, ni ferias de hortalizas, sólo 1 pequeño establecimiento llamado: la catira, que se surte de mercancía los días domingos con un camión procedente del interior del país, así que se imaginaran las colas para comprar los productos frescos, la gente no espera el lunes, el mismo domingo, bajando la mercancía y comprando. por lo genral mis compras las hago el día lunes, y en ocasiones hay muchos productos que ya no consigo.
Por suerte, tenemos la dicha que la tierra de nuestro pueblo es muy fértil, y nuestros hermanos indígenas trabajan la agricultura; y todos los lunes y viernes en la mañanita, traen su mercancía recien cosechada, y se colocan en pleno centro del pueblo apostados en la acera a ofrecer los productos, la desventaja que tenemos es que hay muchos productos que no llegan al pueblo; si les cuento una anecdota personal, tengo un hijo de 9 años, que probó la manzana por primera vez hace 2 años porque no llegaban al pueblo, por lo menos coseguir espinacas por acá es muy dificil, igual el rabano, y muchos otros que llegan esporadicamente, y se acaban súper rápido; les cuento también que una vez hubo un reto con nueces y no pude participar porque acá no se consiguen!

I must begin by telling you that in the village there are no shopping malls or vegetable fairs, only 1 small establishment called: La Catira, which is supplied with goods on Sundays with a truck from the interior of the country, so you can imagine the queues to buy fresh produce, people do not wait on Monday, on Sunday itself, bringing down the goods and buying them.
Luckily, we are fortunate that the land in our town is very fertile, and our indigenous brothers work in agriculture; and every Monday and Friday morning, they bring their freshly harvested merchandise, and they set up in the center of town on the sidewalk to offer their products; If I tell you a personal anecdote, I have a 9 year old son, who tried the apple for the first time 2 years ago because they did not come to town, at least get spinach here is very difficult, like the radish, and many others that come sporadically, and run out super fast; I also tell you that once there was a challenge with walnuts and I could not participate because here they are not available!

Ya el día de ayer quedaba poca mercancía, por el lado de las frutas, solo conseguí piña, tomate de arbol, parchita y mandarina; que a mi hijo le encanta, así, que aproveché y le compré; también conseguí lechuga y tomate para mis ensaladas, en casa comemos mucho ensalada, berenjena y calabacín, me gustan asadas o en cremas, los ricos aguacates, que en casa sólo me gustan a mí, pero no faltan en mi compra.
Pude comprar también zanahoria y remolacha, que tengo en mente una rica rica torta de remolacha con chocolate, las panelas se consiguen, y son muy ricas, las elaboran acá mismo en los trapiches del pueblo; hasta aquí estuve en el establecimiento.

I was also able to buy carrots and beets, I have in mind a rich beet cake with chocolate, the panelas are available, and they are very rich, they are made right here in the mills of the town; even here I was in the store.
Continué mi recorrido por pequeños puestos de vendedores ambulantes, que se ubican en el centro del pueblo, allí conseguí granos: arvejas, frijoles bayos y blancos, caraotas, y mañoco, que es un alimnto a base de casabe que por acá se consume mucho, conseguí también unos culantros frescos y hermosos, cultivados en los patios de las casas, también compré onoto en grano, para darle color a las comidas.
Se consiguen las verduras frescas, ocumo, papa,ñame, topocho, plátano y auyama que me gusta mucho en crema.

Una parada infaltable son los puestos de ventas de los indígenas que estan apostados en las aceras, con su mercancía cultivada por ellos mismos; allí consigues todo tipo de verdura, una de las que mas abunda es el topocho; el jengibre , y el maní en concha se consiguen frescos, además de cambur, naranja, ocumo, y ñame.
No falta en estos puestos un fruto llamado coroba, autoctono de nuestro municipio, y que se puede consumir crudo, sancochado, en arepas, natillas, e incluso se xtrae un rico y aromatico aceite.
