Hello friends in Vegan community, today I will share a recipe for making nuggets made from carrots and tempeh, this recipe is suitable for teaching children to love vegetables, usually I use carrots, potatoes, spinach or mushrooms to make vegetable nuggets, but today I will make them with tempeh ingredients and carrots.
Children love nuggets, usually nuggets are made from chicken meat. But kids also like tempeh nuggets, especially when eaten with soy sauce, my kids always want them.
The ingredients I use to make tempeh and carrot nuggets are :
150 grams of carrots
2 standard size tempeh sticks
300 grams of wheat flour
200 grams of breadcrumbs
100 mL of warm water
5 pieces of garlic
3 red onions
2 red chilies
1 tablespoon salt
1 leek
1 pack of pepper powder
500 ml cooking oil
How to make tempeh and carrot nuggets are :
1.Cut the carrots into small pieces to make it easier to mash, then put it in the blender.
2.wash the onion and garlic, then put it in the blender.
3.Wash the leeks, cut into small pieces and put them in a blender.
4.Cut the tempeh and put it in the blender.
5.add salt to the blender
6.add warm water to the blender
7.Blend all ingredients to mix well and smooth.
8.Pour the dough that has been smooth into a bowl or container large enough to process the dough (a container with a volume of 2 liters)
9.Add the flour into the smooth dough, mix well.
10.add pepper powder according to taste into the dough, stir until all the dough is mixed and a dough that can be formed is formed.
11.Shape the dough according to what we want, children want oval shaped nuggets, they are used to forming nuggets that are square and star, so they want a different shape.
12.After all the dough is formed, then roll it into the breadcrumbs until smooth.
13.Heat the cooking oil, then fry the nuggets, when frying all parts of the nuggets must be submerged in cooking oil so that they cook evenly, that's why I fry it using a pan.
14.fry until brown
The tempeh and carrot nuggets are ready to be served warm.
I will make soy sauce with raw ingredients, that is :
1 tomato
2 garlic
3 red chilies
100 mL sweet soy sauce
The trick is to wash red chilies, onions and garlic. The first step is to finely chop the garlic and put it in a bowl
Then cut the red chilies into small pieces.
Also cut the tomatoes into small pieces.
Put the sliced garlic, red chili pieces and tomato pieces into a bowl, then add sweet soy sauce.
I wanted to add a tablespoon of vinegar but as it ran out I replaced it with lime juice, this will make the sauce taste fresh.
This is a snack that contains a lot of cooking oil, so we provide a drink that can neutralize the cooking oil that enters the body, young coconut water.
