Relieve stomach acid with boiled yellow pumpkin with brown sugar

I am a stomach acid sufferer, however this does not prevent me from fasting for Ramadhan which will soon end. However, in the past 3 days, my stomach acid has started to come back, I don't really understand what the trigger is, but recently I have been consuming fried food and ice very often and anything cold to soothe my throat because of dehydration due to fasting. But whatever it was, it had all happened and what was clear was that my stomach had recurred. Then the data that made my chest tight was that many deaths in my area occurred due to stomach acid, they underestimated this which ended fatally and I didn't want that to happen.



Because my stomach acid is rising, I have to take doctor's medicine, but is that enough? Of course not because I have to support the doctor's medicines by consuming healthy foods that can relieve my stomach acid pain, and actually there are lots of them, but at the moment my wife still has a stock of yellow pumpkin that hasn't been processed. So I will process it into yellow pumpkin compote without coconut milk.



The ingredients I have to prepare are also simple because this is actually medicine and the ingredients are as follows:

1. Yellow pumpkin (I used yellow pumpkin weighing 300 grams)

2. Pandan (pandan leaves function as a food fragrance. Apart from that, pandan leaves also have many benefits for the body, but if you don't have pandan leaves then it won't be a problem and you can eliminate the pandan.)

3. Ginger (I use 1 segment of ginger which functions to collaborate with yellow pumpkin to relieve my stomach acid and also warm my stomach later, then the presence of ginger in this recipe makes the palm sugar sauce much fresher and has more flavor)

4. Palm sugar (I only used 100 grams of palm sugar and I think that's a lot and my stew will definitely have a very sweet taste later, if you want to reduce the amount of palm sugar because you don't like it sweet then it's not a problem, it's all based on your taste.)

5. 1 glass of water



The way I make it is:

1. Peel the pumpkin, separate the seeds from the flesh, then wash it until clean, then cut it into several pieces as I have shown in my picture.

2. After that, roughly chop the palm sugar and mix it with the pumpkin

3. Likewise, I tied the pandan leaves in a knot so that my pumpkin stew would smell fragrant later

4. After all the ingredients were in, the last thing I did was pour water into the container then I boiled it over medium heat, after boiling I added the ginger which I had first sliced.

5. After that, wait until it really boils in a closed container then turn off the heat.

6. Let stand until warm and the brown sugar pumpkin can be enjoyed.



And this simple recipe can relieve my stomach acid, but I still have to stay away from fried foods first and don't forget to consume this dish twice a day for 1 week. Hopefully we are all in good health, friends, greetings from Tomi Diwirja, Indonesia
