On this occasion I will share a simple recipe but has a delicious taste, using raw materials that have many health benefits, and we residents in remote villages call it "Kuah Sop".

At the beginning of November, almost all parts of Indonesia were flooded with heavy rain, even those of us who live in remote villages in Indonesia felt the impact, the cold weather caused the immune system to decrease and the enthusiasm for activities also decreased.

But I have a recipe for cooking to warm the body on a rainy day, and this recipe was inherited by my family from generation to generation from our ancestors.

Soup soup, as he is affectionately called, may be suitable for you to serve to your beloved family during the rainy season like today, besides being able to warm the body, it also has many health benefits.

Take a moment and come with me to cook together...

First of all, prepare the following materials needed...

  1. Potato 500 g
  2. 2 Scallions
  3. Cauliflower 500 g
  4. Sprouts 250 g


After all the ingredients are available then we need to prepare several kinds of spices to cook it.

The ingredients needed to make the seasoning are...

  1. Shallots 2 cloves (cut in four)
  2. Garlic 1 clove (cut in three)
  3. Pepper 1/2 tablespoon
  4. 1/2 Tomato, to give a little sour taste.

How to make it:

  • Cut potatoes, cauliflower and leeks, you can cut them according to your taste, or you can do as I did and it looks like it was drawn.


After all the ingredients are cut, the next step is to smooth the spices that are already available.



Then, heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a saucepan, if the oil is hot add the ground spices, stir until the spices are fragrant, cook for about 3 minutes, then add a pinch of salt, then add 3 cups of water for the soup. When the water is boiling, add the potatoes, bean sprouts, spring onions and cauliflower together.








Stir until evenly distributed, taste, if not good, add a little more salt. The taste of the broth from potatoes, bean sprouts, scallions and cauliflower will come out on its own, we don't need to add seasoning to the food, as long as the salt is right, it will definitely taste very good and delicious. I didn't give it a carrot flavor, because my son doesn't like carrots. Though the soup usually uses carrots. I cook what my family likes. And I also don't use celery leaves, because my son will throw away the vegetables, if there are celery leaves. I replaced the celery leaves with Bombay scallions, the taste of the soup is very good and can warm the body when it rains.





Yep .... ready to serve. It feels right in the mouth, the taste of the broth that comes out of the vegetables is very delicious. This soup is served for our dinner with the family.
