Sri Lankan most famous Thala Balls / Gingelly Balls

Hi my dear hive friends, I'm so happy that joined the hive blog chain becuase now i have so many friends all over the world. Today i'm going to introduce very tasty and famous treat in Sri Lanka.

The world's major sesame growers are Sudan, Myanmar and India.

This sesame crop is famous in the world as the oldest oil seed.

As Sri Lankans, we also grow sesame to some extent in the dry zone and import as the country does not produce enough. Among the grains that are useful to man in many ways,

sesame seeds are very important .Black sesame is more beneficial and Ayurveda uses sesame to make many medicines.

Regular use of sesame seeds helps to soften rough skin and cure sepsis.

Hair related diseases can be reduced by applying sesame oil

Eating a tablespoon of black sesame seeds daily will make your skin glow.

The use of sesame seeds is very important for those who have low sperm strength. That is, sperm production increases.


Ingredients
Sesame seed 250g
Bowl coconut freshly scraped 100g
Jaggery 150g
Salt - pinch

First, fry sesame seeds and grated coconut separately in low heat until light brown as shown in the picture

After that keep it aside to cool.

Cut the jaggery into small pieces.

Now grind all these sesame seeds jaggery, grated coconut using traditional pascal and motor (using traditional making ) or grinder.

Now put the mixture in a bowl and add some salt and mix well.

Then make small balls as shown in the picture.

This is very easy to prepare and can be eaten very quickly.

It is a very delicious and famous type of sweets that can be eaten in all the festive occasions of Sri Lankans as well as for tea time at home.

Although many people are reluctant to eat many sweets because they are high in sugar, the combination of jaggery and sesame helps to cure many diseases.

I loved these sesame balls and ate them while making them.
