How to Prepare An Easy-to-Prepare Combination Of Paprika With Tofu

Tofu is one of the processed soybeans which has high nutritional value and is beneficial for the body. Tofu which is processed by frying is one of the favorites of Indonesian people's families. Usually residents of Indonesia, fried tofu is used as a side dish to eat with rice. Not only fried tofu is also very often processed for various types of delicious food.

As you all know, on 2nd week vegan shopping challenge. I visited the biggest supermarket in Aceh and bought some green and red bell peppers, I kept them in the fridge and they were very fresh. I really like that peppers keep really well in the fridge and wrapped in plastic.

Paprika always looks tempting because of its bright color, that's why I want to make an easy and delicious recipe from parprika. Why did I choose tofu for the combination? As you know, tofu has a soft texture and a very delicious taste. So that makes me very excited to enjoy cooking fried tofu combined with paprika. Paprika is indeed very rarely found in traditional markets in Aceh. However, you can find various types of paprika in traditional markets or the biggest supermarkets in Aceh..

Paprika and tofu are rarely consumed by rural people in the area where I live. maybe other than a taste that doesn't match their tongue or is very rare to find. This is my first time making tofu mixed with peppers. The taste turned out really good, far from my expectations. I like vegetables that are sweet and textured because they go so well. Besides having beautiful color patterns, fried tofu with sautéed chilies also has a unique taste in my opinion. Now here I start preparing some of the materials needed.

Ingredient

3 white tofu
1 gram of red bell pepper
1 gram of green peppers
3 shallots
1 clove of garlic
8 bird's eye chilies

Prep Step


Step 1

First, cut the tofu into small pieces. Then add a little salt and fry the tofu until golden yellow.

Step 2

After the tofu is ready, Halve the peppers in half, I only take half, because the size of the peppers is quite large, then remove the seeds and cut the green and red peppers lengthwise according to taste.

Step 3

Then thinly chop the shallots and garlic. Next, grind the cayenne pepper with salt on a pestle.

Step 4

Then saute shallots and garlic in hot oil, sauté until all wilted.

Step 5

Then add the paprika, stir and cook until the paprika is soft, then add a little water or according to taste then add the chili which has been mashed with salt

Step 6

Furthermore, when the peppers start to get soft, add the tofu that has been fried. Then stir and correct the taste, if it's still fresh add a little salt.

Stir-fried tofu with paprika is ready to be served on your serving plate, serve while still warm. Or serve it with warm rice, definitely more delicious than you can imagine. I got 3 servings for lunch for me and my friend, we really enjoyed it, it was savory and really good.

So I'm giving you a few tips on how to make your tofu better, before frying the tofu, it's best to boil it first, because this will affect the texture of the tofu to become denser.
