How to make Soft Corn Ice

Enjoying something refreshing is the right choice when summer starts to arrive. The number of simple ingredients such as corn if processed properly will be something special and very enjoyable for your family to enjoy

Processing materials that are easily available are also an option at this time, especially those that are family favorites. Sweet corn, will be very delicious if processed into ice cream. As you know, ice cream is my favorite, and maybe almost 80% of people love ice cream, both kids and adults and I think ice cream will remain everyone's one and only favorite snack. Ice made from vegan ingredients doesn't always have a taste that doesn't suit my taste buds, for example ice without milk will have a different taste. But not with me, ice made with corn, especially when combined with thick coconut milk, will actually have an exciting taste and texture in my opinion.



Materials Used

To make ice cream there are several ingredients that you need to prepare, simple ingredients that are sure to be easy to find, here are the ingredients:

  • 2 cob sweet corn
  • 1 liter thick coconut milk
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • A pinch of food coloring (optional)
  • Plastic ice lolly or ice cream cups.

Preparation

First I started to prepare sweet corn by cutting all the sweet corn seeds on the cob, then I washed the corn clean. After looking clean, I started to put the corn kernels into the blender, then smoothed it as smooth as possible so that the juices from the corn would be evenly distributed.

Next, I continue to sift the corn kernels that have been mashed, so that the ice does not contain the pulp from the corn kernels so that later the resulting ice will be soft and fragrant and the corn will be very flavorful. Then I started adding cornstarch, then stirred it evenly, so that later it wouldn't clump when we cooked the liquid mixture.

The next step, I started putting the dough in the cooking pot, then started cooking, and then I slowly added the thick liquid coconut milk while stirring it so it wouldn't stick to the bottom of the pan. Now then I add sugar, salt and food coloring, then stir and cook on medium heat for up to 15 minutes or until the mixture boils and the dough thickens.

Now, after the dough is cooked, wait until the ice mixture is cold, then print the ice cream cup or put it in a plastic ice lolly, put it in the plastic using a funnel and then tie it at the bottom, do it until it's finished.

After printing, then put it in the refrigerator, wait until the ice hardens, or I store it overnight so that the texture is better. Now this is the final stage if the ice has hardened it means the ice is ready for consumption. Serve in plastic or in a cup, you can also add fla according to taste.

Results

The ice is really delicious, the texture is sweet and soft and the aroma must be fragrant, the aroma from the corn is really very strong, in my opinion there is no need to add vanilla or other fragrances because the aroma from the corn itself is very distinctive.
