Hello, and greetings food lovers. today is meatless Monday and I am making the post for @qurator: Qurator's: Hive Top Chef! | Sesame seeds/oil.
Sesame toast for lunch with garlic sesame spread
1/2 cup organic sesame seeds
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup fresh corn (maize)
4 stalks of fresh cilantro
2 cm fresh ginger
1 small carrot
1/2 red paprika
4 spring onions
4 green beans
1/4 red onion
2 tbsp oil
4-5 small cooked potatoes it is from our garden so they were unusually small
6 slices of whole grain bread.
Chopped vegetables and other ingredients.
In a bowl put all the vegetables together with salt and pepper.
Mix them well.
Add mashed potatoes to the vegetables.
Mix everything together.
Heat a pan and dry roast 1 tbsp sesame seeds.
Add roasted sesame seeds to the potato vegetable mixture.
Place the bread slices on a board and spread 2 tbsp vegetable mixture on each.
Press the vegetable mixture layer firmly on the bread so when we cook them they do not separate.
Warm an iron pan and add 1/2 tbsp sesame oil to it.
Take one slice of bread with the veggies and
dip the veggie side into sesame seeds.
It looks like this before it toasts.
place the bread on a lightly oiled warm pan or skillet the veg sesame side has to face down.
After 2-3 minutes flip and cook it a few more minutes until just getting crispy.
The toast is ready to serve,
Making spread for toast
2 cloves of garlic,
1 tbsp tahini
2 tbsp tomato ketchup
1 tbsp sesame seed.
!/2 tsp sesame or any oil.
In a small bowl mix 2 tbsp tomato ketchup, and 2 tbsp tahini together.
In a pan heat 1/2 tsp sesame oil, when warm add the chopped garlic. after a few seconds when it becomes aromatic add the sesame seeds and remove them from heat making sure they don't burn
add this to the ketchup and tahini mixture.
