Today I would like to share a recipe in 3 easy steps, which can be used as a snack or as a starter for a special dinner: Crispy pumpkin and sesame seed flakes.
Step 1: Wash the outside of the pumpkin very well so that we can use it with its shell. Then, with the help of a knife or a slicer, we are going to make the flakes.
Once we cut the flakes, we will optionally add the seasonings, I personally did not add anything since I love the flavor of the pumpkin. You can add salt, pepper and cumin, sprinkle them over the flakes.
Step 2: Preheat the oil in a skillet over medium heat. When it is very hot, carefully introduce the flakes.
Step 3: When browned on both sides, remove the flakes from the oil with a skimmer and place them to drain on a clean, dry cloth.
After a few seconds, sprinkle the sesame seeds over the flakes.
To accompany these crispy flakes, I made a sauté of cabbage, onion and garlic.
To give a more delicious touch to the sauté I added fresh tomato wheels. And served.
