Sauteed Chives Tofu, The Plantbased Recipe You Need!

There are many types of vegetables in this world, different shapes and sizes, with many different benefits. Vegetables were created as a source of fiber, vitamins and minerals for the human body, food that is refreshing and good for the body. There are also vegetables whose benefits are healing, body maintenance and anti-oxidants. What is your favorite vegetable?

I like lots of vegetables, pakcoy, kale, sprouts, spinach, cabbage, broccoli and many others. Now vegetables are the main food for me, because I have to control the many calories that enter the body, thus making vegetables a food that can be consumed in large quantities without being high in calories like eating rice. After all, vegetables are good for the gut because they are high in fiber and rich in other benefits.

There is one vegetable that I like, especially if it is stir-fried with various other ingredients. Similar to spring onions, but tastes different, like grass but long, about 20 cm, tastes good and has the characteristics of other vegetables. Have you ever heard of chives? Yes, chives are one of my favorite types of vegetables, although they are similar to grass, if they are processed properly, chives become delicious and fun to eat.

Chives leaves will indeed be very strange if they are only boiled, like eating grass, especially if they are processed incorrectly, then you will be traumatized by eating them. Well, here I really want to share a recipe to make chives more delicious, fresh and healthy. A simple recipe that you might need, especially if you are confused about making chives leaves as a side dish and vegetables at the same time.

Sauteed Chives Tofu
The Recipe


This recipe is simple, but you have to prepare some ingredients to make a special stir fry tofu chives for your family. Some of these materials I attach below;

Ingredients;

  • 3 large pieces of tofu
  • 150 grams of chives
  • 100 gr sprouts
  • 3 cloves of red onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 3 pcs red chili
  • 1 piece of ginger
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • Pinch of salt

How ​​to make sauteed chives tofu;

  • Cut the tofu into cubes, or adjust to taste. Heat vegetable oil over medium heat, fry tofu until golden brown. Drain the tofu from the oil. Set aside.

  • Clean the chives and sprouts, then slice the chives lengthwise 7 cm.

  • Slice the onion and garlic, heat 1 tsp vegetable oil in a wok pan, then sauté the onion and garlic until they are aromatic.

  • Slice the red chilies and ginger, then add them to the sauteed onions.

  • Enter the sprouts and chives, give a little water. Then add the sesame oil, soy sauce and salt. Taste correction, adjust to taste.

  • In the final step, add fried tofu, then turn off the heat. Stir until well blended.
