In this weekly plantbased cooking challenged I want to show you a recipe that is tasty and delicious. I choose to put on sticky rice with sweet style and easy.

For the people of Indonesia must be very familiar with the ‘Kelepon’. The dish is very distinctive with a sweet taste and melt on the tongue.
Made of glutinious rice flour that is processed in such a way that this dish very delicious.
Kelepon including one of the cake traditional in Indonesia and snacks market.

Ingredients:

  • 250 g glutinous Rice
  • 100 gr palm Sugar
  • Young coconut shredded
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • 7 pieces of pandan leaves
  • 65 ml santan
  • 150 ml of water

How to make Kelepon:

  • Puree the sticky rice to flour, if you want instant can wear white glutinous rice flour.

  • Provide a container that is large enough, enter the glutinous rice flour, sugar, salt, and coconut milk. Then mix well.

  • Puree pandan leaves with 150ml water, then squeeze and strain to get the extract of pandan leaves. In addition to getting a natural green color from pandan leaves, pandan leaves also make the batter into notes.

  • Mix the extract of pandan leaves with a dough of glutinous rice until it is completely mixed, pour little by little so that the dough is not too soft.

  • After finished in the mix, print the dough with added pieces of palm sugar in the middle of the dough kelepon. Shape into a round.

  • Heat the water in the wok pan, when it is boiling, put the dough already printed into the boiling water. Lift if the batter floats and drain.

  • Prepare the grated coconut with a little salt mixture. Then enter the dough that has been cooked into the grated coconut, smeared with grated coconut and set aside.
