This literary gem is one of my favourite stories, it's one of those stories that you never get tired of reading, in fact I read this book when I feel it's necessary to refresh (to keep in mind) all the teachings that this story has. Every time I read it is a pleasant feeling, this book made me see things differently in many areas of my life or life in general, to be more precise.

Esta joya literaria es una de mis historias favoritas, es una de esas historias de las que no te cansas de leer, de hecho yo leo este libro cuando siento que es necesario refrescar (para tener presente) todas las enseñanzas que esta historia posee. Cada vez que lo leo es una sensación placentera y diferente, este libro hizo que viera las cosas de manera distinta en muchos ámbitos de mi vida o de la vida en general, para ser más preciso.

Written by Robert Fisher I was particularly encouraged by this particular work, and for incorporating the theme of self-help into his stories, but in a unique way, where you learn while you enjoy the reading, as is often seen in self-help books (which I hate) that it feel like they are teaching you how to live your life, Fisher instead manages to teach us things in a more indirect and discreet way, which I appreciated immensely.

Escrita por Robert Fisher famoso por esta obra en particular, y por incorporar en sus historias el tema de autoayuda, pero de una manera singular, donde aprendes mientras disfrutas la lectura, como se suelen ver en los libros de autoayuda (que por cierto odio) que sientes que te estan enseñando como debes vivir tu vida, Fisher por el contrario se las ingenia por enseñarnos cosas de forma más indirecta y discreta, cosa que aprecio inmensamente.

This brave knight has a wife called Juliet, the love of his life, and a young son whom he loves dearly. You will also meet the famous wizard Merlin, a clever squirrel and a clever pigeon too.

Esta envolvente, fascinante, simple y a la vez profunda historia protagonizada por un valiente caballero que siempre estaba orgulloso de su oficio, dispuesto a rescatar a damiselas en apuros en sus castillos, de luchar contra dragones, estar presente en cruzadas y de servir al rey Arturo. Este valiente caballero tiene una esposa llamada Julieta el amor de su vida y un pequeño hijo al cual ama profundamente, también encontrarás al famoso mago Merlín, a una ardilla y una paloma muy inteligentes.

Although this fantastic story is suitable for all audiences, it's especially written for adults, it's similar to a fairy tale but for mature people, and by this I do not mean that a child or a teenager would not benefit from it, but an adult will get more out of this story than someone who has not lived that long.

A pesar de que esta fantástica historia es apta para todo público, está especialmente escrita para los adultos, es algo así como un cuento de hadas pero para personas maduras, y con esto no intento decir que un niño o un adolescente no se beneficiaría de la misma, sino que un adulto obtendrá más de esta historia que alguien que no ha vivido tanto.

It's not hard to identify with the medieval knight who wore his armour so much that he found he couldn't get rid of it, in what way? Well, he used it so much that he even slept with it, and without noticing it at some point he couldn't even take off his helmet, he was totally stuck in his armour, oblivious to so many things, like ¿pain?making his life very difficult. He's looking for a way to get rid of it. Will he be able to do it? Will he stay like this forever? Will Juliet still love him? What about his son who had not seen his face for a long time? Will he manage to get out of this mess? I invite you to find out and accompany him on his long journey.

No es difícil identificarse con el caballero medieval que usaba tanto su armadura que llegó el momento en el que notó que no podía deshacerse de ella, ¿en qué sentido? Pues, la usaba tanto que hasta dormía con ella, y sin notarlo en algún punto ya no podía siquiera quitarse el yelmo, estaba totalmente atorado en su armadura, ajeno a tantas cosas como el ¿dolor? dificultando así su vida enormemente. Va en busca de una forma de poder quitársela ¿será capaz de hacerlo? ¿se quedará así para siempre?, ¿Julieta lo seguiría amando?, qué hay de su hijo que hacía mucho que no veía su rostro, ¿logrará salir de este lío? Te invito a descubrirlo y lo acompañes en su largo camino.

Fisher invites everyone and especially adults to reconnect with the simplicity of life, to see life as it is, at the same time, he invites us to appreciate and respect everything that surrounds us, to get rid of those idle and learned thoughts that limit us so much, and thus return to earth to resume or start walking on the right path.

Fisher invita a todos y en especial a los adultos a reconectarse con la simpleza de la vida, a ver la vida tal cual es, a la vez, nos invita a apreciar y respetar todo lo que nos rodea, a deshacernos de esos pensamientos ociosos y aprendidos que tanto nos limitan, y así volver a la tierra para retomar o empezar a andar en el camino correcto.

What awaits the knight is not easy, he must face many very difficult trials, trials that the wise wizard Merlin told him he must overcome in order to find himself, to love life, to love himself for who he is, to be good, to be generous, to be loving and to accept things for what they are, however simple they may be. On his way and with every trial he learns to appreciate what he always had in front of him, and to realise how wrong he had lived until now.

Lo que le espera al caballero no es fácil, debe enfrentar muchas pruebas, todas difíciles, pruebas que el sabio mago Merlín le indicó que debía superar con el fin de encontrarse consigo mismo, amar la vida, amarse a sí mismo por quien es, para ser bueno, para ser generoso, para ser amoroso y aceptar las cosas por lo que son, por más simples que sean. En su camino y con cada prueba aprende ha apreciar lo que siempre tuvo en frente de él, y a darse cuenta lo equivocada que estaba la forma en la que había vivido hasta ahora.

After reading this novel, simple questions like "and why not?" take on a whole new meaning, that question can be used to answer many questions. And Merlin's wise words are so full of wisdom that it will be impossible for you not to learn something from him, or to feel a certain envy for his way of seeing things. One of my favourite quotes is "When you learn to accept rather than hope, you will have fewer disappointments". There is nothing so true as this, and it is an excellent lesson with a lot of logic.

Después de leer esta novela preguntas simples como "¿y por qué no?" Toman otro significado, esa pregunta se puede usar para responder mucha preguntas. Y las sabias palabras de Merlín están tan plagadas de sabiduría que será imposible que no aprendas algo de él, o que sientas cierta envidia por su manera de ver las cosas. Unas de mis frases favoritas "Cuando aprendas a aceptar en lugar de esperar, tendrás menos decepciones" no hay nada tan cierto como esto, y es una excelente lección con muchísima lógica.

If you are one of those people who feel that you have lost the direction of your life, that you don't know what to do, that you lost hope in everyone, even in yourself and that you are also somehow tired of life, this book is almost therapeutic, all the adventure that the knight faces and how incredibly well written is this story full of symbolism, raw, very beautiful, fantastical, but at the same time it's so realistic, so meaningful that it will simply open your eyes, expand your horizons and as incredible as it may seem it will make you love life. Are you ready to come back to the right path or on the contrary you will be stuck forever?

Si eres de esas personas que sienten que han perdido el rumbo de su vida, que no sabes que hacer, que perdiste la esperanza en todos, hasta en ti mismo y que también de alguna forma estás cansado de la vida, este libro es casi terapéutico, toda aventura a la que se enfrenta el caballero y lo increíblemente bien escrita que está esta historia llena de simbolismo, cruda, muy hermosa, fantasiosa, pero a la vez es tan realista, tan significativa que simplemente te abrirá los ojos, expandirá tus horizontes y por muy increíble que parezca te hará amar la vida. ¿Estás listo para volver al camino correcto o por el contrario te quedarás estancado para siempre?
