No me he sentido muy bien anímicamente estas últimas semanas, razón por la cual no he sido tan constante con mi trabajo en #Hive, a veces hay días en los que solo quieres dormir por mucho tiempo hasta que el malestar que estas atravesando termine, sin embargo, trato todas las semanas de continuar trayendo contenido en la plataforma que es algo que me gusta hacer a pesar de que hay días en que no tengo ánimos de nada.
Nos volvemos a encontrar para un nuevo viaje por el Mundo Mágico de Harry Potter, este fascinante mundo tiene muchos datos y curiosidades. Hoy hablaremos de una de las cosas más características del mundo mágico, las escobas voladoras, el medio de transporte más popular de la saga de Harry Potter, espero disfruten de esta lectura; sin más que decir comencemos este mágico viaje.

Las escobas mágicas son el medio de transporte más común y más utilizado por las brujas y magos del mundo mágico, son bastante antiguas y su uso se remonta hace varios siglos.
Son especialmente eficaces para trasladarse largas distancias y grandes alturas y algunas son capaces de alcanzar velocidades asombrosas, en Gran Bretaña las escobas son como los automóviles del mundo muggle; y están reguladas por el Ministerio de Magia, específicamente por el departamento de Control de Escobas, para poder surcar los cielos en una de estas los magos incluso deben tener un respectivo permiso para usarlas.

They are especially effective for moving long distances and great heights and some are capable of reaching amazing speeds, in Britain brooms are like cars in the Muggle world; and are regulated by the Ministry of Magic, specifically by the department of Broom Control, to take to the skies in one of these wizards must even have a permit to use them.

Esto curiosamente llevó a la diversificación y nacimientos de muchos otros medios de transporte mágicos con el paso del tiempo, pero de ello hablaremos en otro escrito.
Las primeras escobas de las que se tienen registro eran muy rudimentarias e incomodas, con un diseño nada aerodinámico comparado con las actuales, su estructura era básicamente la de un tosco bastón de madera compuesto por algunas pocas ramas atadas con un cordón de cuero, de madera muy áspera e incluso algunas dejaban astillas en la madera debido al uso, tampoco podían viajar a altas velocidades.
A finales del siglo XII o principios del siglo XIII se comenzaron a implementar mejoras en dichos artefactos, con madera barnizada y sin astillas que pudieran lastimar a los pasajeros, los encantamientos con los que se imbuían las escobas para volar se hicieron más complejos y debido a esto comenzaron a surgir escobas mucho más rápidas y con un vuelo mucho más suave.
En el silgo XIX un mago llamado Elliot Smethwyck inventó un hechizo de amortiguación de vuelo mejoró de gran manera el uso de las escobas como artefacto mágico volador, haciéndolas más cómodas, manejables y seguras; esto supuso un gran avance para las escobas y ya para esta época la calidad de la madera y la fabricación se habían desarrollado bastante.

Además del afamado y popular Quidditch, hay algunos otros deportes en los que se emplean las escobas como parte fundamental, aquí te mencionaré algunos;
Maratón anual de escobas; es bastante antiguo y se celebra principalmente en Suecia. Este evento funciona se celebra desde el siglo X y consiste en una carrera de 437 millas bastante intensa y peligrosa, en la actualidad es un evento mundial y participan magos y brujas de todo el mundo.
Stichstock; originario de Alemania, este juego consistía en un jugador que tenía que defender la vejiga hinchada de un dragón que se encontraba encima de un poste a una altura de aproximadamente seis metros.

Annual broom marathon; it is quite old and is mainly held in Sweden. This event has been celebrated since the tenth century and consists of a 437 mile race quite intense and dangerous, nowadays it is a worldwide event and wizards and witches from all over the world participate in it.
