This Chinese Manga or many call it Manhua tells the story of a man named Nie Li, a great cultivator with the Demon Spiritualist type who died after fighting many high level evil monsters.
Even though he was reborn with the weakest soul, namely the Red Soul, with the abilities from his previous life, Nie Li was able to increase his abilities beyond those with talents and innate abilities greater than his own.
This Manhua has Isekai genre, maybe many are tired of this kind of story model, but I think this comic is quite interesting because there are many ways to improve the main hero and friend's ability.
For example, by using a Soul Crystal, we can see that Soul Realm has 7 classes (red, orange, yellow, Green, Cyan, Azure, and Indigo) and each can be a different attribute (neutral, chaos, snow wind, sacred flame, god, holy, etc). Soul Realm Strength can be determined by how much Soul Force he has. New cultivators need 100 units of soul Force to rise a level.
Apart from Attributes, there are Soul Forms (Heavenly Thundercloud, Scarlet Sun, Winged Dragon, etc) which can be determined by looking at the shape, color, and movement of the soul force within the crystal.
With knowledge of the Soul realm, Attributes, and Soul Form we can determine the appropriate Cultivation technique (Heavenly God, Heavenly Scarlet Lightning, Myriad Dragonroars, and many others) so that he can get the best improvement.
Cultivators themselves are divided into several forms such as Fighters, Demon Spiritualists, Demon Beasts, Humanoid, and Demigod/Spiritual God.
Character development can be very varied, so it's always interesting to know what kind of improvement will occur in the characters at the next level, and of course, the seasoning with the many beautiful women around the main character is the other attraction. What would Isekai be without Romance? we need that right?
What made this manhua a bit different from other manhwa was Nie Li's ability to merge with a demon spirit, forming a new body, which surpassed the limits of an ordinary human's strength.
In the picture above, you can see Nie Li turning into Kungfu Panda 😁 the author of the series called it Fanged Panda.
Besides that, all the powers and knowledge that you get are quite reasonable, not powers that appear out of nowhere with super powers, but are indeed the result of experience gained in a previous life.
The only thing that doesn't make any sense to me, how can someone remember all the knowledge from his previous life, names of herbs, medicinal recipes, and various cultivation ways/techniques that we can see in this Manhwa Nie Li shared with his friends. But for the sake of enjoying the Manhwa, and appreciate an interesting story let's forget that matter 😀.
With his rebirth, Nie Li is determined to save his lover, friends, and all the townspeople from the death of his previous life and destroy the devils and evil beings.
