Por mucho tiempo la lectura fue parte importante en mi vida. Podía leer muchas historias en un lapso de tiempo relativamente corto, amo imaginar todos esos mundos y personajes que describen en ellas. Luego de unos años, fui dejando la lectura y enfocandome en series y películas, y las veces que leo son muy escasas, pero igual lo sigo haciendo y me encontré con una saga de libros que me tuvo atrapada desde el primer momento.
Se trata de la saga de Una Corte de Rosas y Espinas, de Sarah J. Maas, que nos cuenta una historia que tiene un gran parecido con la trama de la Bella y la Bestia, combinada con criaturas y mundos de fantasía. Encontré estos libros gracias a una Influencer que sigo en Instagram, nos hablaba muy emocionada sobre estos libros y despertó mucha curiosidad en mi, entonces fui a buscar la sinopsis de una a ver si aumentaba mis ganas de leerlo, y así fue.
En esta publicación me enfocaré solo en el primer libro entonces les dejaré la sinopsis para que se hagan una idea, aunque igual les daré mi opinión personal un tanto resumida y sin spoilers.

For a long time reading was an important part of my life. I could read a lot of stories in a relatively short period of time, I love to imagine all those worlds and characters described in them. After a few years, I stopped reading and focused on series and movies, and the times I read are very rare, but I still do it and I found a saga of books that had me trapped from the first moment.
It is the saga of A Court of Roses and Thorns, by Sarah J. Maas, which tells a story that has a strong resemblance to the plot of Beauty and the Beast, combined with creatures and fantasy worlds. I found these books thanks to an Influencer I follow on Instagram, she was talking to us very excited about these books and aroused a lot of curiosity in me, then I went to look for the synopsis of one to see if it increased my desire to read it, and it did.
In this post I will focus only on the first book so I will leave you the synopsis so you can get an idea, although I will still give you my personal opinion somewhat summarized and without spoilers.

Esta sinopsis nos da una clara idea de la trama de este primer libro, como se lee en ella, nos cuenta la travesía de Feyre lo que sucedió en su vida luego de haber cometido este acto hacia esa extraña criatura. Es llevada en cautiverio hacia unas tierras fantásticas por otra de estas criaturas, para pagar por sus acciones. Por esto se me hizo muy similar a la trama de la Bella y la Bestia, por todo el tema del cautiverio.
De allí pasan un montón de cosas interesantes, pues al principio creía que solo nos iba a contar sobre el romance que empieza a surgir entre los dos protagonistas, pero sin duda va más allá. Ya que es un constante lucha contra el mal que está reinando en ese momento en esas tierras. Cada descripción de las criaturas, momentos y paisajes es increíble para la imaginación. Cada acontecimiento solo te deja ansioso por seguir leyendo y deseando saber que pasará a continuación.
Synopsis
"Feyre, a nineteen year old huntress, kills a wolf in the forest. As a consequence, a monstrous creature arrives seeking revenge and drags her to an enchanted land she only knows through legends. There she discovers that her captor is not an animal, but Tamlin, one of the lethal fae.
In her captivity, she will realize that her feelings for him turn from cold hostility to a passion that will burn despite the warnings she has received.
But an ancient and sinister shadow grows in this strange land, and Feyre must find a way to stop it or Tamlin and her world will be doomed forever."

This synopsis gives us a clear idea of the plot of this first book, as we read in it, it tells us about Feyre's journey what happened in her life after she committed this act towards that strange creature. She is taken captive to a fantastic land by another of these creatures, to pay for her actions. This made it very similar to the plot of Beauty and the Beast, because of the whole captivity theme.
From there a lot of interesting things happen, because at first I thought it was only going to tell us about the romance that begins to emerge between the two protagonists, but it certainly goes beyond that. Since it is a constant struggle against the evil that is reigning at that moment in those lands. Every description of the creatures, moments and landscapes is incredible for the imagination. Each event just leaves you anxious to keep reading and wanting to know what will happen next.
Los personajes son de mis cosas favoritas en esta trama, puedes amarlos u odiarlos de forma extrema y hay momentos en los que desconfiaras tanto que no sabrás quiénes son los buenos y quiénes los malos.
Como en muchas historias, la protagonista ha tenido que pasar por muchas cosas a lo largo de su vida, y los acontecimientos que vinieron después no fueron diferentes, y a pesar de que por muchos momentos me desesperó por ciertas actitudes jajaja, me sorprendió de igual manera al afrontar muchas situaciones difíciles.
Es un libro que recomiendo demasiado a quien le gusten las historias de ciencia ficción, mezcladas con romance y un poco de drama, y a quienes les gusta llevar la imaginación más allá. Yo quedé encantada y no dudé en seguir leyendo los libros siguientes, de los cuales les hablaré en otras publicaciones.

The characters are some of my favorite things about this plot, you can either love or hate them in extreme ways and there are times when you are so suspicious and you won't know who are the good guys and who aren't.
As in many stories, the protagonist has had to go through many things throughout her life, and the events that came after were no different, and even though for many moments I despair for certain attitudes hahaha, she surprised me just the same by facing many difficult situations.
It is a book that I highly recommend to anyone who likes science fiction stories, mixed with romance and a bit of drama, to those who like to take their imagination further. I was delighted and did not hesitate to continue reading the following books, which I will tell you about in other posts.
