Pollito Pito
Hasta donde he investigado, Pollito Pito es un cuento popular de Inglaterra, de modo que si no lo han leído o escuchado, en internet puede encontrar versiones en diferentes idiomas; lo que sí puedo asegurar es que este cuento es ideal para leerlo con los niños por el juego que se origina al nombrar los personajes; los nombres de estos se aprenden fácilmente porque van acompañado de un sustantivo u otra categoría gramatical con el que riman; así tenemos a: Pollito Pito, Gallo Malayo, Gallina Fina, Pato Zapato, Ganso Garbanzo y Zorra Cachorra.
From what I have researched, Pollito Pito is a folk tale from England, so if you have not read or heard it, on the internet you can find versions in different languages; what I can assure you is that this story is ideal to read with children because of the game that originates when naming the characters; the names of these are easily learned because they are accompanied by a noun or other grammatical category with which they rhyme; thus we have: Pollito Pito, Gallo Malayo, Gallina Fina, Pato Zapato, Ganso Garbanzo and Zorra Cachorra.
Los personajes van apareciendo para sumarse al viaje que Pollito Pito está realizando camino al Rey para anunciarle que el cielo se va a caer; por último aparece Zorra Cachorra, quien quiere darse un banquete con los viajeros, pero estos se libran yéndose por un camino distinto al que ella propone.
Lo divertido de este cuento es que en la medida que van apareciendo los personajes, se va creando una sucesión de nombres que se va alargando y que por la musicalidad de los mismos genera un ritmo contagioso; de modo que es un reto para el narrador memorizar la secuencia de los saludos en el mismo orden en que van apareciendo, y la secuencia de la respuesta de Pollito Pito para cada uno.
The characters appear to join the journey that Pollito Pito is making on his way to the King to announce that the sky is going to fall; finally Zorra Cachorra appears, who wants to feast with the travelers, but they get rid of her by going a different way than the one she proposes.
The funny thing about this story is that as the characters appear, a succession of names is created that is lengthening and that by the musicality of them generates a contagious rhythm; so that it is a challenge for the narrator to memorize the sequence of greetings in the same order in which they appear, and the sequence of the response of Pollito Pito for each one.
Cuando finalmente llegan ante el rey y le dan el mensaje, de que mande a componer el cielo porque se va a caer, hemos disfrutado de un hermoso y entretenido viaje y escapado de la amenaza de la zorra; es un cuento con un final feliz como todo cuento pensado en los niños.
Lo bonito de este tipo de historias es que ayudan al niño a crear vínculo con el libro, estimulan la imaginación, la escucha activa, la concentración y ayudan a que diferencien el bien del mal.
When they finally arrive before the king and give him the message to send to fix the sky because it is going to fall, we have enjoyed a beautiful and entertaining journey and escaped from the threat of the fox; it is a story with a happy ending as any story designed for children.
The beauty of this kind of stories is that they help the child to create a bond with the book, stimulate imagination, active listening, concentration and help them to differentiate good from evil.
