Hello to all the readers of the Hive Book Club community! In this opportunity I want to share a book titled Romancero gitano yerma, whose author is the poet and playwright Federico García Lorca. I tell you quickly, this was my second book reading 6 years ago. I remember that it was in my home library without being read, so, as soon as I saw the title, it made me very curious, so I did not hesitate to read it. Today I can consider it one of my favorites.
¡Hola a todos los lectores (as) de la comunidad de Hive Book Club! En esta oportunidad quiero compartir un libro titulado Romancero gitano yerma, cuyo autor es el poeta y dramaturgo Federico García Lorca. Les comento rápidamente, que este fue mi segunda lectura de libro de hace 6 años. Recuerdo que estaba en la biblioteca de mi casa sin ser leído, por lo que, apenas visualicé el título, me generó muchísima curiosidad, así que no dudé en leerlo. Hoy día puedo considerarlo uno de mis favoritos.
Book: Romancero gitano yerma
Well, as I mentioned before, this is a book written by Garcia, which was published in 1928. It is composed of eighteen romances: the night, death, the sky, the moon. Expressed through popular poetry. For its part, the main theme of the book is based on the gypsy culture, which shows the sorrows of a people who have lived and have been persecuted by the representatives of the authority, and therefore, fight against that authority.
Bien, como ya mencioné con anterioridad, este es un libro escrito por García, la cual fue publicado en el año 1928. La está compuesta por dieciocho romances: la noche, la muerte, el cielo, la luna. Expresado a través de la poesía popular. Por su parte, el tema principal del libro se fundamenta en la cultura gitana, en donde se muestra las penas de un pueblo que ha vivido y ha sido perseguido por los representantes de la autoridad, y por ende, luchan contra aquella autoridad.
There is no doubt that García Lorca goes beyond just focusing and giving a concrete situation, but he wanted to focus his poem in the description of the struggle between the Civil Guard and the gypsies, calling them Romans and Carthaginians, in order to understand the permanence of this conflict. Thus giving an epic dimension to the confrontation that has been outlined throughout the book between the freedom embodied by the Gypsies who have been very faithful to their beliefs and the established order defended by the Civil Guard.
No cabe duda, que García Lorca va más allá de solo centrar y dar una situación concreta, sino que quiso enfocar sus poema en la descripción de la pugna entre la Guardia Civil y los gitanos, llamándolos romanos y cartagineses, para dar así a entender esa permanencia de dicho conflicto. Dado así una dimensión épica al enfrentamiento que se ha ido perfilando a lo largo de todo el libro entre la libertad que encarnan los gitanos quienes han sido muy fieles a sus creencias y el orden establecido que defiende la guardia civil.
