Today I want to share with the whole community my first experience with an audio book entitled The Old Wardrobe by the famous Victorian novelist Charles Dickens. Let me tell you quickly, how did I get it? Thanks to my English I teacher; Paul Quintero who gave it to me about 4 years ago. Honestly, I was very excited to have something like this in my hands because I had never had the opportunity to listen to a recording of a book read aloud. Hoy quiero compartir con toda la comunidad mi primera experiencia con un audio- libro titulado El armario viejo del famoso novelista de la era victoriana Charles Dickens. Les comento rápidamente, ¿cómo lo obtuve? Gracias a mi profesor de Inglés I; Paul Quintero quien me lo obsequió hace aproximadamente 4 años. Sinceramente, me sentí muy emocionada al tener algo así en mis manos debido a que nunca había tenido la oportunidad de escuchar una grabación de un libro leído en voz alta. As previously mentioned, this audio-book entitled The Old Wardrobe by Charles Dickens is narrated by Juan Helmut Larrahondo Cardona (professional radio broadcaster with more than 25 years of experience). It begins with the story of Thomas Evans, who is the father of the protagonist of the story, that man had lent a thousand pounds sterling to the owner of a furniture store named Benson. However, the man refused to return the money to Mr. Evans. **It should be noted that it was Mr. Thomas' money that he wanted to bequeath to his beloved son. Thus, Mr. Evans' son did not stand idly by and decided to create a plan to recover the money with the interest accumulated over the years since his father had died.
Como bien fue mencionado anteriormente este audio- libro titulado El armario viejo de Charles Dickens es narrado por Juan Helmut Larrahondo Cardona (Locutor profesional de amplia trayectoria en el medio radial con más de 25 años de experiencia). La misma inicia con la historia de Thomas Evans, quien es el padre del protagonista de la historia, aquel hombre había prestado mil libras esterlinas al dueño de una tienda de muebles llamado Benson. Sin embargo, aquel hombre se negó a devolverle el dinero al señor Evans. Hay que destacar que aquel dinero del señor Thomas era el que quería dejar en herencia a su querido hijo. De esta forma, el hijo del señor Evans no se queda de manos cruzada y toma la decisión de crear un plan para recuperar el dinero con los intereses acumulados en todos esos años ya que su padre había muerto.
