Hoy revisando mi feed para hacer un poco de curación manual me topé con una publicación de @irvinc donde participa en la iniciativa de @nicxi, donde nos invita a comentar y exponer sobre los libros, personalmente al ver esta iniciativa no dude en participar ya que los libros son de mis pasiones y vicios más arraigados en el alma.
Vamos con la primera de las preguntas:
1- ¿Cuál es el primer libro que recuerdas haber leído de niño?
Para ser honesto de niño jamás leí un libro, en realidad comencé tarde en la lectura, a eso de los 16 años en mis últimos dos años de bachillerato gracias a mi profesora de Castellano y Literatura, la profesora Ana Villegas quien me incentivo y motivo a comenzar en el mundo de los libros. El primer texto que leí fue la Ilíada y luego la Odisea de Homero.
En ese entonces comenzó mi amor por la cultura griega, pero eso es otro tema, leer la Ilíada y la Odisea fue un aprendizaje histórico de cómo era el ser humano de aquella sociedad, saber que mucho de lo que nos caracteriza hoy viene de la antigua Grecia. Por algo se le conoce como la cuna de la civilización occidental.
2- ¿Cuál es el mejor momento para leer?
Todo momento es buen momento para leer, siendo honesto, amaría leer todo el día, pero eso no es viable económicamente hablando a menos que me paguen por leer, pero aún no he encontrado un trabajo así. Así que me debo acoplar a una rutina donde aparto un poco de mi tiempo para leer, normalmente en las mañanas, y antes de dormir unos 30 minutos. Aunque no siempre leo antes de dormir, ya que el sueño me vence. Pero, en el momento del día que me siento más cómodo para leer es en la mañana.
3- ¿En qué formato prefiere leer: Digital, papel o ambos?
En papel, Siempre en papel, de hecho, debo confesar que el aroma a libro nuevo, ese olor que desprende sus páginas es indecible, melifluo. Soy de los que subrayan ideas, dejo papeles con anotaciones dentro de las páginas. Pero, hay una realidad que no puedo negar, acá no es tan fácil tener acceso a muchos libros en su edición digital, y cuando digo acá me refiero a Venezuela. De modo que he aprendido desde hace años a leer en formado digital, aunque la experiencia no sea la misma.
4- ¿Qué te distrae más cuando lees?
Hay muchos factores, aunque el principal distractor que tengo es cuando alguien me habla, aunque hay tipos de lectura, hay lecturas que puedes hacer en una variedad muy amplia de ambientes, en cambio hay textos que ameritan un silencio de biblioteca, por lo general leo mucho ensayo, literatura filosófica y suele distraerme el ruido en general, pero intento hacer caso omiso, a veces funciona a veces no.
5- ¿Género favorito?
Ya me adelanté a esta respuesta en la pregunta anterior, estudio filosofía y por ente es mi género literario favorito, pero fuera de lo estrictamente filosófico, amo la poesía y la novela, sobre todo la novela histórica, eso si que es otro nivel. Pero, así como hay géneros favoritos, hay tipos de lectura no favorito, por ejemplo, la lectura de autoayuda, no es algo que me llame la atención, incluso siento un poco de aversión a ella. Pero no quiero pecar por prejuicioso.
Personalmente la lectura como lo dije al comienzo de este escrito, es un placer y un vicio, como todo placer da felicidad, y como todo vicio, acrecienta con los años. Aunque hay algo más, la lectura es alimento para el alma. Gracias a los que han hecho posible esta iniciativa, en verdad, me encantó participar. Fue un gran ejercicio de introspección.

Today checking my feed to do some manual curation I came across a post from @irvinc where he participates in the initiative of @nicxi, where he invites us to comment and expose on books, personally seeing this initiative I did not hesitate to participate since books are of my passions and vices more rooted in the soul.
Let's go with the first of the questions:
1- What is the first book you remember reading as a child?
To be honest as a child I never read a book, actually, I started reading late, around the age of 16 in my last two years of high school thanks to my Spanish and Literature teacher, Professor Ana Villegas who encouraged and motivated me to start in the world of books. The first text I read was the Iliad and then the Odyssey of Homer.
At that time my love for Greek culture began, but that is another topic, reading the Iliad and the Odyssey was historical learning of how the human being of that society was, knowing that much of what characterizes us today comes from ancient Greece. For a reason, it is known as the cradle of Western civilization.
2- What is the best time to read?
Any time is a good time to read, to be honest, I would love to read all day long, but that is not economically viable unless I get paid to read, but I have not found such a job yet. So I have to stick to a routine where I set aside some of my time to read, usually in the mornings, and before bed for about 30 minutes. I don't always read before bed though, as sleep overcomes me. But, the time of day I feel most comfortable reading is in the morning.
3- In what format do you prefer to read: Digital, paper or both?
On paper, always on paper, in fact, I must confess that the aroma of a new book, the smell of its pages is unspeakable, mellifluous. I am one of those who underline ideas, I leave papers with annotations inside the pages. But, there is a reality that I cannot deny, here it is not so easy to have access to many books in their digital edition, and when I say here I mean Venezuela. So I have learned for years to read digitally, although the experience is not the same.
4- What distracts you the most when you read?
There are many factors, although the main distractor I have is when someone talks to me, although there are types of reading, there are readings that you can do in a wide variety of environments, but there are texts that require a library silence, usually, I read a lot of essays, philosophical literature and usually the noise, in general, distracts me, but I try to ignore it, sometimes it works sometimes not.
5- Favorite genre?
I already anticipated this answer in the previous question, I study philosophy and it is my favorite literary genre, but outside of the strictly philosophical, I love poetry and novels, especially historical novels, that's another level. But, just as there are favorite genres, there are types of reading not favorite, for example, reading self-help, is not something that calls my attention, I even feel a little aversion to it. But I don't want to err on the side of prejudice.
Personally, reading, as I said at the beginning of this writing, is a pleasure and a vice, like any pleasure it gives happiness, and like any vice, it increases with the years. Although there is something else, reading is food for the soul. Thanks to those who made this initiative possible, I really enjoyed participating. It was a great exercise in introspection.
