Me emociona mucho traer éste reto a mi blog, desde hace algún tiempo que he querido incrementar mis publicaciones con respecto a libros y, ésta es una gran oportunidad para hacerlo.
Para el día uno debemos hablar un poco de un libro clásico. Y yo he escogido a mi libro favorito, Orgullo y Prejuicio de Jane Austen.

I'm very excited to bring this challenge to my blog, for some time now I've been wanting to increase my posts regarding books and, this is a great opportunity to do so.
For day one we should talk a little bit about a classic book. And I have chosen my favorite book, Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice.
Orgullo y Prejuicio fue publicado en el año 1813 por la autora británica Jane Austen, quién para muchos, fue una mujer muy adelantado a su época por el desarrollo de la fortaleza e independencia que tienen algunos de sus personajes.
Éste libro se centra mayormente en la evolución de la relación entre Darcy y Elizabeth, sin embargo, se formaran otras parejas a lo largo de la historia que serán nuestros co-protagonistas, como lo es Charles y Jane.
Nos encontraremos con un Darcy y una Elizabeth cegados por el orgullo, los juicios y los rumores, dónde no encontraremos verdadera seguridad en sí nacerá o no un vínculo amoroso entre ellos. Sin embargo, conforme avanza la historia y, sumado a ello, los inevitables encuentros entre ambos, se puede aprecio un atisbo de un posible amor.
Pride and Prejudice was published in 1813 by British author Jane Austen, who for many, was a woman far ahead of her time for the development of strength and independence that some of her characters have.
This book focuses mainly on the evolution of the relationship between Darcy and Elizabeth, however, other couples will be formed throughout the story that will be our co-protagonists, such as Charles and Jane.
We will find a Darcy and Elizabeth blinded by pride, judgments and rumors, where we will not find true certainty as to whether or not a loving bond will be born between them. However, as the story progresses and, added to this, the inevitable encounters between the two, a glimpse of a possible love can be appreciated.
Si me lo preguntan, éste es y será siempre mi libro favorito de todos los tiempos. Suelo leerlo hasta 5 veces en un año, la verdad es que no suelo cansarme nunca de ésta historia y, pese a que me sé casi todo de memoria, sigo teniendo la misma emoción al leerlo.
Definitivamente Jane Austen si que estaba adelantada a su época, el personaje de Elizabeth Bennet tiene una determinación y un empoderamiento femenino que realmente no se veía mucho por aquella época. Aunque también tiene a su contraparte, que vendrían siendo algunas de sus hermanas, su madre y su amiga Charlotte, quiénes si que presentan la educación que se le daba a las mujeres en aquellos tiempo, como priorizar su comportamiento y velar por un matrimonio para no quedar 'soltera'.
Alguna vez leí que Elizabeth Bennet representa todo lo que Jane Austen quiso ser libremente en el mundo real. De ser así, pienso que el haber escrito ésta novela en su momento y, con semejante personaje debió ser un grito de lucha y un desahogo muy fuerte para ella misma.
If you ask me, this is and will always be my favorite book of all time. I usually read it up to 5 times in a year, the truth is that I never get tired of this story and, even though I know almost everything by heart, I still have the same emotion when I read it.
Jane Austen was definitely ahead of her time, the character of Elizabeth Bennet has a determination and a female empowerment that really wasn't seen much at that time. Although she also has her counterpart, which would be some of her sisters, her mother and her friend Charlotte, who do present the education given to women in those times, such as prioritizing their behavior and ensuring a marriage so as not to be 'unmarried'.
I once read that Elizabeth Bennet represents everything Jane Austen wanted to be freely in the real world. If so, I think that having written this novel at the time and with such a character must have been a cry of struggle and a very strong relief for herself.
Es habitual que la lectura con este tipo de libros (tan antiguos) sea un poco pesada porque se manejaba un lenguaje muy distinto al que usamos hoy en día. Sin embargo, leer Orgullo y Prejuicio es como si estuviese leyendo cualquier libro juvenil de hoy, es una lectura muy fácil de entender, es rápida y una vez que tienes el libro en tus manos, no puedes parar hasta terminarlo.
He leído otros libros de la autora, pero definitivamente Orgullo y Prejuicio es el que siempre se lleva la corona (para mí, claro).
¿Cuál es tu libro clásico favorito?
It is usual that reading with this kind of books (so old) is a bit heavy because they used a very different language than the one we use nowadays. However, reading Pride and Prejudice is like reading any young adult book today, it's a very easy to understand read, it's fast and once you have the book in your hands, you can't stop until you finish it.
I have read other books by the author, but definitely Pride and Prejudice is the one that always takes the crown (for me, of course).
