En otras oportunidades les he mostrado mis opiniones de esta Saga Boulevard, así que yo no podía dejar pasar la oportunidad de leer el tercer libro, debo dejar claro que hay un cuarto pero que en la plataforma aún se está actualizando, así que creo que esa opinión tardará un poco.
In other opportunities I have shown you my opinions of this Boulevard Saga, so I could not pass up the opportunity to read the third book, I must make clear that there is a fourth but that in the platform is still being updated, so I think that opinion will take a while.
En esta oportunidad la autora nos presenta la historia que lleva por nombre Antes De Ella, en esta oportunidad vemos la vida de Luke Howland antes de lo que vimos en Boulevard, aunque algunas escenas favoritas y especiales del primer libro se cuentan aquí para mostrarnos como lo sintió él.
La personalidad de Luke fue una que pudimos ver en Boulevard, no es ni la mitad de lo que vemos en esta parte, vemos un poco más de cómo se sentía él y de lo que el dolor significaba en su vida... Me enamore mucho más de lo que él representaba, porque rompe algunos estereotipos que se suelen tener en base a su comportamiento y hábitos de vida.
A partir de aquí, hay spoilers, así que si no has leído omite esta parte y ve directo a mis palabras finales. Me gusto conocer a Bella y aunque todos entendimos que este amor no fue intenso y mágico, si fue uno especial en la vida de Luke; así como también Bella siempre estuvo ahí para él, se preocupaba por él y siempre intento hacerlo feliz incluso cuando a su lado obtuvo muchas decepciones. Me gusta mucho el personaje de Bella, está llena de humanidad, me gusta que no sea el típico cliché de la ex obsesionada; sino más bien una ex hermosa.
This time the author presents us with the story called Before Her, this time we see Luke Howland's life before what we saw in Boulevard, although some favorite and special scenes from the first book are told here to show us how he felt.
Luke's personality was one we got to see in Boulevard, it's not half of what we see in this part, we see a little more of how he felt and what grief meant in his life.... I fell much more in love with what he stood for, because he breaks some stereotypes you tend to have based on his behavior and living habits.
From here on, there are spoilers, so if you haven't read skip this part and go straight to my final words. I liked meeting Bella and although we all understood that this love was not intense and magical, it was a special one in Luke's life; as well as Bella always being there for him, caring about him and always trying to make him happy even when by his side he got a lot of disappointments. I really like Bella's character, she is full of humanity, I like that she is not the typical cliché of the obsessed ex; but rather a beautiful ex.
Hay una parte en donde se narran pequeñas escenas que nunca vimos en Boulevard pero que transcurren es en ese tiempo, en donde podemos ver con claridad su relación con algunas de las personas más cercanas: su hermano Zach, su padre, Jane (su prima), Andre (su mejor amigo), Boonie ( como el solía decirle), su hermano Pol y nuestra querida Weigel. En cada parte me di cuenta que cada personaje era mucho más complejo de lo que nos mostraron anteriormente y que cada uno aporto muchas cosas en la corta vida de Luke... Cada uno le enseño grandes cosas y creo que todos podemos estar de acuerdo que a pesar de lo que pudieron hacerle, él nunca estuvo dispuesto a dañarlos, al contrario los protegía, incluso a su padre, que lo orillo a muchas de las situaciones que más lo dañaron en muchos ámbitos... Y aun así, él siempre lo protegió a pesar de los intentos de las terceras personas de ayudarlo.
Antes de ella, también nos mostró que Luke nunca fue tan feliz, nunca se sintió igual que cuando estaba con Weigel. A diferencia de Bella ella no fue su centro de rehabilitación, ella fue un motivo para buscar ayuda, para querer cambiar su futuro. Que Weigel fue la razón por la que él quería hacer de su vida una mejor, pero también por quién sacrifico, porque su vida siempre estuvo detrás de la de ella.
There is a part where small scenes that we never saw in Boulevard are narrated but that take place in that time, where we can clearly see his relationship with some of the closest people: his brother Zach, his father, Jane (his cousin), Andre (his best friend), Boonie (as he used to call him), his brother Pol and our beloved Weigel. In each part I realized that each character was much more complex than what we were shown before and that each one contributed many things in Luke's short life.... Each one taught him great things and I think we can all agree that despite what they could do to him, he was never willing to harm them, on the contrary he protected them, even his father, who put him in many of the most damaging situations in many areas.... And yet, he always protected him despite the attempts of third parties to help him.
Before her, it also showed us that Luke was never as happy, never felt the same as he did when he was with Weigel. Unlike Bella she was not his rehab center, she was a reason to seek help, to want to change his future. That Weigel was the reason why he wanted to make his life a better one, but also who he sacrificed for, because his life was always behind hers.
Antes de ella... Me dejó grandes lecciones de la mano de Luke, nos mostró que no importa cuántas veces pienses que tu vida no tiene sentido, eso no importa cuando llega a ti, la persona con la que conectas, la persona que hace que cualquier tristeza se vuelva tan pequeña para ser real.
Ahora bien, ¿Que pienso de este libro? ¿Era necesario? ¿Fue mejor que Después de él? Para mí este libro bastante corto la verdad me gustó muchísimo, es una lectura netamente ligada a la historia de Boulevard, y que me gusta muchísimo ver las cosas desde otra perspectiva, porque entonces así muchas cosas se unen y dejan de ser una incógnita que tenemos como lectores. Creo que sí era necesario, sobre todo porque Luke es uno de los personajes más amados, y siento que conocerlo mejor nos hace entender mucho de sus actitudes y sentimientos. Debo decir que este me gustó mucho más que Después de él, como comenté en ese post sentí que muchas cosas ahí fueron como forzadas; sin embargo aquí todo se siente bien natural y hermoso.
Antes de ella, creo que llevará un lindo lugar en mi corazón, al igual que Luke Howland, nuevas enseñanzas me llevo de esta experiencia de lectura. Este es un libro para leer después de Boulevard pero que también es una lectura ligera y corta que puede sacarte de un bloqueo lector. Por mi parte mi libro favorito después de Boulevard.
Before her... It left me with great lessons from Luke's hand, he showed us that no matter how many times you think your life is meaningless, that doesn't matter when it comes to you, the person you connect with, the person who makes any sadness become so small to be real.
Now, what do I think of this book, was it necessary, was it better than After him? For me, I really liked this very short book, it is a reading clearly linked to the story of Boulevard, and I really like to see things from another perspective, because then many things come together and cease to be an unknown that we have as readers. I think it was necessary, especially because Luke is one of the most beloved characters, and I feel that knowing him better makes us understand a lot of his attitudes and feelings. I must say that I liked this one much more than After Him, as I commented in that post I felt that many things there were like forced; however here everything feels very natural and beautiful.
Before her, I think she will carry a nice place in my heart, just like Luke Howland, new lessons I take away from this reading experience. This is a book to read after Boulevard but also a light and short read that can get you out of a reading block. For my money my favorite book after Boulevard.

My favorite line from this book was:
"Now I know that there are people who are eternal and people who are temporary. I want to believe that I was eternal, not in the physical form, of those that need flesh and blood, but, of those people that are carried in the soul, that remain marked in people's lives forever. People have a life span, we don't know for how long, but I have the idea that mine was enough".
