Las personas que solemos leer podemos estar de acuerdo en que algunas veces comenzamos lecturas que no podemos terminar, ya sea porque la trama no nos gusta o porque no es nuestro mejor momento para la lectura; incluso puede incluir que el lenguaje utilizado no sea el indicado para nosotros, eso no significa automáticamente que el libro sea malo, solo que quizá no es para nosotros o no es el momento para leerlo. Así que quise hacer este post para hablar de aquellos libros que comencé a leer y no termine.
People who usually read can agree that sometimes we start reading books that we can't finish, either because we don't like the plot or because it's not our best time for reading; it may even include that the language used is not the right one for us, that doesn't automatically mean that the book is bad, just that maybe it's not for us or it's not the right time to read it. So I wanted to do this post to talk about those books that I started reading and didn't finish.
1| La Brizna de Paja en el Viento de Rómulo Gallegos
Rómulo Gallegos fue un importante escritor venezolano, dejo grandes legados, uno de los clásicos de la literatura Venezolana fue Doña Bárbara, libro que leí y por esto me interese por la Brizna de Paja en el Viento, un libro que cuenta una realidad en Cuba, tocando temas como el caudillismo y totalitarismo político, es decir tocaba temas de clases sociales en medio de la violencia callejera.
Esta novela es señalada como uno de las que más revolucionarias en la manera de escribir o contar historias de su autor, ya que, se atrevió a contar historias desde otro lado de las naciones. Pero para mí, hay algo en esta historia que me impidió continuar hasta el final, creo que de hecho no pude avanzar de la pagina 15, es una historia que al principio llamo demasiado mi atención y que luego no logro atraparme. Pero esto no quiere decir que no sea una muy buena historia, más bien que quizá no es una nóvela para mi.
Romulo Gallegos was an important Venezuelan writer, he left great legacies, one of the classics of Venezuelan literature was Doña Bárbara, a book that I read and that is why I was interested in La Brizna de Paja en el Viento, a book that tells a reality in Cuba, touching on issues such as political totalitarianism and caudillismo, that is, it touched on issues of social classes in the midst of street violence.
This novel is pointed out as one of the most revolutionary in the way of writing or telling stories of its author, since he dared to tell stories from another side of the nations. But for me, there is something in this story that prevented me from continuing to the end, I think in fact I could not advance from page 15, it is a story that at first called my attention too much and then failed to catch me. But this does not mean that it is not a very good story, but rather that maybe it is not a novel for me.
2| After de Anna Todd
Un libro y una historia que he mencionado anteriormente como un libro que no me interesa leer, pero la verdad es que hace mucho tiempo ya, intente leer esta historia de Tessa y Hardin, la razón es que soy fanática del romance y todos decían que este era un gran romance, pero al menos yo no pude avanzar en mi lectura, creo que me quede como por la página 20, no recuerdo bien si fueron los pensamientos de la protagonista o más bien que ya veía por donde iba la trama que no pude seguir leyendo.
After, es un libro que a diferencia del anterior no me interesa retomar la lectura, siento que si vería las películas solo para tener un poco de todo lo que dicen sus fans pertenece a la experiencia de vivir esta historia.
A book and a story that I have mentioned before as a book that I am not interested in reading, but the truth is that a long time ago, I tried to read this story of Tessa and Hardin, the reason is that I am a fan of romance and everyone said that this was a great romance, but at least I could not advance in my reading, I think I was about page 20, I do not remember if it was the thoughts of the protagonist or rather that I saw where the plot was going that I could not continue reading.
After, it is a book that unlike the previous one I am not interested in reading again, I feel that if I would watch the movies just to have a little of everything that their fans say belongs to the experience of living this story.
3| Buenos días, princesa de Blue Jeans
Toda una revolución que comenzó su autor con el Club de los Incomprendidos, esta es una historia romántica y juvenil que nos presenta la historia de todos estos amigos y como siempre en la adolescencia y la juventud los conflictos amorosos se vuelven todo un dilema emocional que nos llevara por una interesante historia.
La verdad es que este libro lo tenía en la computadora y lo deje de leer simplemente porque se me hacía muy incomodo leerlo desde ahí, pero es una lectura muy bonita que me gustaría experimentar y además se parece mucho a lo que suelo disfrutar cuando quiero algo ligero.
A revolution that began its author with the Club of the Misunderstood, this is a romantic and youthful story that presents the story of all these friends and as always in adolescence and youth love conflicts become an emotional dilemma that will take us through an interesting story.
The truth is that I had this book on the computer and I stopped reading it simply because it was very uncomfortable to read it from there, but it is a very nice read that I would like to experience and also it is very similar to what I usually enjoy when I want something light.
4| Las Lanzas Coloradas de Arturo Uslar Pietri
La verdad es que no se si es un problema que tengo con el autor, pero he intentado leer varias de sus obras y nunca puedo terminar, sentirme atrapada o conectada. Las Lanzas Coloradas en general, capsula una etapa especial de mi país Venezuela, centrándose específicamente en como funcionaba la región de los llanos en aquel episodio por la Guerra de la Independencia.
Este libro es realmente uno de los más famosos en mi país, un clásico que se estudia en el colegio pero la verdad es que por mi propia cuenta no he podido leer.
The truth is that I don't know if it is a problem I have with the author, but I have tried to read several of his works and I can never finish, feel trapped or connected. Las Lanzas Coloradas in general, capsulates a special stage of my country Venezuela, focusing specifically on how the region of the plains functioned in that episode for the War of Independence.
This book is really one of the most famous in my country, a classic that is studied in school but the truth is that on my own I have not been able to read it.
5| Popol Vuh Anónimo
Este libro es una recopilación de narraciones míticas y legendarias, es un libro muy valioso para la espiritualidad y la cultura Maya. Este libro es demasiado emblemático e histórico pero no se si decidí leerlo a muy temprana edad, cuando tenía como unos 14 años y no pude avanzar mucho de hecho no recuerdo mucho de aquella experiencia literaria.
Me gustaría volver a intentar esta lectura, porque me gustaría la verdad vivir la experiencia literaria y disfrutarla.
This book is a compilation of mythical and legendary narratives, it is a very valuable book for spirituality and Mayan culture. This book is too emblematic and historical but I do not know if I decided to read it at a very young age, when I was about 14 years old and I could not advance much in fact I do not remember much of that literary experience.
I would like to try this reading again, because I would really like to live the literary experience and enjoy it.
Así que si, estos 5 libros los comencé a leer y ya pueden ver en cada uno de ellos las razones por las cuales no pude avanzar en muchas ocasiones.
