A few days ago, I managed to reach a major milestone/personal goal for this account: I have now accumulated and staked 100,000 of the Hive-Engine "Creative Coin" (CCC) tokens!

Perhaps as a bit of a testament to the fact that sometimes things do go more quickly then expected, this was actually a goal I had set for the end of 2022!

Uncertain Future?

I originally created this account with the intention of it being mostly a curation account to support artistic and creative content on Hive.

CreativeCoin is one of the oldest Hive-Engine tokens, actually getting its start on the "old chain," where I also started this account. The intention was to have a community and token that would support art and creative endeavors, and offer an additional reward for creatives.

CCC has had a bumpy road, though... and that seems to be ongoing.

After a very active early period on Steemit the community went through a long period of neglect, until the Creative Coin Fund (@cccf) brought it back to life, as an initiative of @cliffagreen. Sadly, the Creative Coin Fund has since been dismantled about three months back, leaving things somewhat up in the air, once again.

Last I checked, the creative community continues to be served by the original creativecoin.xyz front end as well as witness @igormuba's alternative creativecoin.live front end. There's also an actual Creative Coin Community but it doesn't get used much, as most of Hive's creative creators seem to post to the various art, music, photography and writing communities we already have.

As For Myself...

I plan to just plod on forward, curating interesting creative content I find, occasionally posting a bit... and remaining hopeful that eventually someone else will pick up the "stewardship gauntlet" of CCC and its associated community.

As always, the primary challenge will be to offer something MORE THAN just being "another way to make a few extra cents;" the problem with which is that it offers only incentive to SELL CCC tokens (driving the price down) but no incentive to BUY & HOLD CCC tokens, which would increase the price.

It's all demand and supply, folks!
