The story is written in both Spanish and English.
Un cuerpo había sido extraído del mar, no hay rastros de la causa de su muerte y la gente que vive alrededor del mar teme ser acusada de matarlo. En su cuello había marcas rojas que parecían las de un hombre estrangulado y arrojado al agua, pero se desconoce qué pudo haber llevado a su asesinato. El detective Pikachu llevó el cuerpo al laboratorio y, tal como se sospechaba, el resultado mostró que fue estrangulado, pero ¿quién y por qué?, era el enigma por descubrir.
El detective Pikachu buscó una pista en su ropa y mientras desempolvaba el pantalón se le cayó un papel, mojado y estrujado. Lo desdobló poco a poco para que no se rompiera y se dio cuenta de que era una carta de un desconocido que decía;
Estimado Steve Fernando, tu vida está en riesgo. Huye de Tarso hasta que vuelva a estar a salvo. el sabe de nosotros
El detective Pikachu sospechaba que el fallecido había intentado huir cuando fue capturado o había decidido quedarse y eso le provocó la muerte, pero necesitaba descubrir quién era (Steve Fernando). Buscó en la web con el nombre completo esperando encontrar una pista y más allá una foto de Steve Fernando y su biografía. El detective se dio cuenta de que Steve era un soldado que vivía en Damasco, había servido en el ejército y se había retirado hacía unos años. Una de las imágenes muestra a Steve Fernando con una mujer que parecía mayor que él abrazándose estrechamente. El nombre de la mujer no fue mencionado, Pikachu imprimió la foto de la mujer y la de Steve y viajó a Damasco.
El detective Pikachu fue de calle en calle preguntando si alguien conocía a la mujer de la foto, pero nadie pareció reconocerla hasta el tercer día.
"Ella vivía en las afueras del pueblo, es un lugar peligroso para visitar porque la casa siempre está rodeada de guardias" le dijo un joven a Pikachu pero Pikachu que tenía curiosidad por saber qué había matado a Steve fue. Tal como se describe, Pikachu pasó por un control exhaustivo y se le permitió entrar. Le mostró la foto de Steve a la mujer que negó conocerlo pero rompió a llorar después de que Pikachu le dijera que su cadáver fue visto flotando en el mar.
"Lo conozco y sé quiénes podrían ser sus asesinos", abrió. Después de mucha narración, Pikachu se dio cuenta después de retirarse que Steve estaba teniendo una aventura con la esposa del general y se había enterado de ello a través de una carta que le envió y que fue entregada en el escritorio del general. El general no negó la acusación y fue entregado para ser juzgado por el tribunal militar y constitucional.
A body had been extracted from the sea, no trace to the cause of his death and the people living around the sea fear to be accused of killing him. On his neck were red marks that looked like that of a man strangled and thrown into the water, but what could have led to his killing remained unknown. Detective Pikachu took the body to the lab, and just as suspected, the result showed he was strangled, but by who and why?, was the puzzle to be uncovered.
Detective Pikachu searched his clothes for a clue and while he was dusting off the trouser, a paper fell out, wet and squeezed. He unfolded it gradually so it wouldn't tear off and realized it is a letter from an unknown person which read;
Dear Steve Fernando, your life is at risk. Run away from Tarsus until it's safe again. He knows about us
Detective Pikachu suspected the deceased had tried to run away when he was captured or had decided to stay and it led to his death, but he needed to find out who he was (Steve Fernando). He searched the web with the full name hoping to find a clue and beyond a picture of Steve Fernando and his biography. The detective realized Steve was a soldier who lived in Damascus, he had served the army and had retired a few years back. One of the pictures shows Steve Fernando with a woman who looked older than him holding each other closely. The name of the woman was not mentioned, Pikachu printed out the woman's photo and that of Steve and traveled to Damascus.
Detective Pikachu went from street to street asking if anyone knew the woman in the picture , but no one seemed to recognize her until the third day.
"She lived in the outskirts of the town, it's a dangerous place to visit because the house is always surrounded with guards" A young man told Pikachu but Pikachu who was curious to know what had killed Steve went. Just as described, Pikachu went through a thorough check and he was allowed to enter. He showed the picture of Steve to the woman who denied knowing him but broke down in tears after Pikachu told her his corpse was seen floating in the sea.
"I know him and I know who his killers might be" she opened up. After much narration, Pikachu realized after retirement Steve was having an affair with the general's wife and he had come to know about them through a letter he sent to her that was delivered to the general's desk. The general didn't deny the accusation, and he was handed over to be tried by the military court and constitution.
