Oficialmente, terminé mi primera novela, bueno anteriormente la había terminado, pero no la sentía apta para su corrección. Así que me tomé la tarea de reescribir mi historia. Esa decisión me tomó dos años para lograrlo. Ahora mi manuscrito está reposando. Porque, necesita pasar a la fase dos, que es la revisión. Cuántas veces he escrito esta historia. Me tomé este artículo para escribir algunos consejos si vas a escribir tu historia, mientras te hablo de mi experiencia. Ya que no es fácil, escribir una novela sin una planificación es difícil. Y depende mucho de lo que vas a escribir. Generar un mundo no nace de la noche a la mañana, debe haber constancia y disciplina. Duré dos años por lo mismo, había momentos que frenaba mi escritura.
Officially, I finished my first novel, well I had previously finished it, but I didn't feel it was suitable for proofreading. So I took on the task of rewriting my story. That decision took me two years to accomplish. Now my manuscript is resting. Because, it needs to move on to phase two, which is revision. How many times have I written this story? Three times and this is the final one.
Writing it so many times allowed me to improve as a writer, as well as polish my skills. I still don't think I'm the best, but I do see myself as much more advanced than my past self.
I took this article to write some tips if you are going to write your story, while I tell you about my experience. Since it is not easy, writing a novel without planning is difficult. And it depends a lot on what you are going to write. Generating a world is not born overnight, there must be constancy and discipline. I lasted two years because of the same thing, there were times when I slowed down my writing.

Es una de las cosas que me hicieron reescribir mi historia. Ni en la primera versión, ni en la segunda los personajes secundarios se distinguían del principal. Todos eran similares y era algo aberrante. Así que por eso me tomé el atrevimiento de escribir por tercera vez.
Mi consejo es que se tomen su tiempo y hagan una ficha de sus personajes. Mis fichas son algo escuetas, pero están ahí para perfilar a mis personajes. Además, sirven para saber quién es quién, porque llegan momentos que te olvidas de algunos de ellos.
Perfilados tus personajes sabrás que serán capaces y cobrarán vida no solo para el lector sino para ti. Porque habrá momentos de meterte en ese personaje y entenderás que no puede actuar de tal manera, porque no va con su forma de ser.
This is one of the things that made me rewrite my story. Neither in the first version nor the second version, the secondary characters were distinguishable from the main one. They were all similar and it was something aberrant. So, that's why I took the liberty of writing for the third time.
My advice is to take your time and make a character sheet for your characters. My cards are a bit short, but they are there to outline my characters. Besides, they are useful to know who is who, because there are times when you forget some of them.
Once your characters are profiled, you will know that they will be capable and will come to life not only for the reader but for you. Because there will be moments of getting into that character and you will understand that they can't act in such a way because it doesn't go with their way of being.
Investiga y planifica:
Con esto quiero decir, si vas a escribir una historia basada en una época en concreto o en una civilización que anteriormente existió, debes investigar. Es algo básico, no puedes ponerte a escribir una historia en una época mezclada con personajes que existieron, porque será chocante para el lector y tendrás muchas críticas. También va cuando describes el panorama, las vestimentas o los gestos. Construir un mundo de la nada es más fácil, por eso la fantasía es más divertida.
Sin embargo, la fantasía también tiene sus leyes. Así que planifica bien las limitaciones de la magia que vas a construir. Será muy aburrido si tus personajes tienen todo el poder en sus manos, eso no tendrá sentido en la trama. La cuestión es que haya limitaciones y problemas que hagan crecer al personaje.
Así que planifica. Piensa que sucederá y perfila ese mundo fantasioso que crearas.
By this I mean, if you are going to write a story based on a particular era or a civilization that previously existed, you must research. It's basic, you can't just set out to write a story in an era mixed with characters that existed because it will be shocking to the reader and you'll get a lot of criticism. It also goes when you describe the scenery, the clothes, or the gestures. Building a world out of nothing is easier, that's why fantasy is more fun.

Como dije, escribir una novela es difícil. Así que por día ten como meta escribir 4 o 3 páginas. El método que aplicaba era escribir en un cuaderno. Mucho más práctico, podía equivocarme y cuando los transcribía a la computadora lo corregía, quedando mejor la historia. Así podía ver los fallos.
En el cuaderno escribía cuando estaba en una cola, sin hacer nada, cuando se iba la luz, en equis situación que lo ameritaba. Y al pasarlo a computadora me tomaba mis 4 o 3 páginas. En mi cuaderno estaba la guía de mi historia, podía escribir lo que me apeteciera, pero al ponerme a trabajar si me tomaba mi tiempo.
As I said, writing a novel is hard. So per day aim to write 4 or 3 pages. The method I used was to write in a notebook. Much more practical, I could make mistakes and when I transcribed them to the computer I corrected them, making the story better. That way I could see the mistakes.
In the notebook, I wrote when I was in a queue when I was doing nothing, when the lights went out, in a certain situation that warranted it. And when I transferred it to the computer I took my 4 or 3 pages. In my notebook was the guide of my story, I could write whatever I wanted, but when I got to work I took my time.
Corrección:
Nunca te pares o te devuelvas para comprobar algún error en la trama. Eso queda para la fase dos. Muchas veces en la marcha corregía errores de gramática también, pero a veces advertía errores que no había visto ya muy avanzado la novela. Sin embargo, no me devolvía a verificarlos, eso queda para la segunda fase.
Y esos detalles los hablaré cuando finalice de pasar el visto bueno a mi joya en bruto.
Never stop or turn back to check for any plot errors. That's for phase two. I often corrected grammar errors as I went along, but sometimes I noticed errors that I hadn't seen very far into the novel. However, I didn't go back to check them, that's for phase two.
And those details I'll talk about when I've finished passing the go-ahead on my jewel in the rough.

Es uno de los detalles más importantes. Muchos escritores, incluido mi persona, nos frenamos por estos aspectos. Deprimidos, sin ideas, bloqueados, frustrados, entre muchas otras emociones frenan nuestro avance en la historia. Nos diremos no estoy inspirado, no puedo escribir. Craso error.

Good ideas come from reading other authors, sometimes reading articles of any kind helps. I would even recommend you to keep a dream journal. The ideas that come to your mind are very useful.
