Esperanza
La esperanza vagaba triste,
Entre dunas y dudas altas.
Fuego, cascos y crines,
Legiones de rojas capas.
Noches marchitas de lunas
Claras, un frío seco,
vuela en la nada.
Un dios se viste de plumas blancas
y va mirando por las ventanas.
Elige una virgen,
Bella, joven, casada.
Engendra un tesoro santo,
el puro hogar que ella buscaba.
Con el primer sollozo,
la esperanza, inundó la casa.

Hope
Hope wandered sadly,
Between dunes and high doubts.
Fire, hooves and manes,
Legions of red cloaks.
withered nights of moons
Clear, a dry cold,
fly into nothing
A god dresses in white feathers
and he goes looking through the windows.
He chooses a virgin,
Beautiful, young, married.
She breeds a holy treasure,
the pure home she was looking for.
With the first sob
hope, flooded the house.
