Búsqueda

Busco tu mirada en la distancia
y termino perdido entre el bullicio
ahogado en la algarabía y el desenfreno
de gentes alegres, que bailan sin parar

Busco tu silueta y se me confunde
con sombras rejuntas y contorsionadas
mezcladas, en la música y el ritmo de un carnaval
que, oculta las penas y las tristezas

Siento tu presencia en la máscara que me mira
con ojos curiosos, que buscan lo mismo
Sus labios murmuran, aquella canción
que nunca aprendiste, que nunca entendiste

Busco tus ojos negros, en este mar de ojos coloridos
que también buscan, cada cual, un escape,
una salida, quizás, una nueva historia
oculta y expectante, detrás de su propia máscara

Solo encuentro en este rebulicio
mis deseos de encontrar tu mirada
perdida, volando desde tu ventana
dispersa, por la distancia y el tiempo.

Search

I look for your gaze in the distance
and I end up lost in the turmoil
drowned in the excitement and the debauchery
of joyful people, who dance non-stop

I look for your silhouette and I get confused
with shadows twisted together and contorted
mixed in the music and the rhythm of a carnival
that hides the sorrows and the sadnesses

I feel your presence in the mask that looks at me
with curious eyes, searching for the same
their lips murmur that song
that you never learned, that you never understood

I look for your black eyes in this sea of colorful eyes
that are also searching, each one, for an escape,
a way out, perhaps a new story
hidden and expectant behind its mask

I only find in this rebulicio
my desire to find your gaze
lost, flying from your window
dispersed by distance and time.
