Everywhere in our community is resounding with echoes of celebrations. The children are happy. Women are busy in salons and fashion designer’s shops making their hair and sewing new dresses. It's that season of the year again. Daddies are breaking their safes to bring out money which would be used to buy chicken, goat meat, turkey, rice and all the condiments for effective and blissful celebration. It's another Easter season.
Easter is a season we celebrate within the christian religion. Another such season is the Christmas season. During Easter, we commensurates the sacrifice of Jesus Christ in dieing for our sins and His victorious resurrection from the dead. This means a lot to us. Not as if this writing is a religious piece but I am just explaining the rationale behind our belief. The resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead signifies our utmost victory from the trouse of death.
During the Christmas season we celebrate quite another milestone in the christian faith. At that time, we celebrate the virgin birth of Jesus Christ. It is important to us because it tells of God’s love in sending His only begotten Son into this world for our redemption. Forgive me if my writing here sounds like a religious sermon.
So, this season is the celebration season. We visit friends and relatives. Get to parks for fun and eat a lot of food. There are many celebrations; there are many bottles and cans of soft drinks littering our streets. 😂🥰🧡
