Friday has made another welcome appearance, and with it we are very fortunate to have Shadow Hunters Community Contest/Show Me a Shadow: Round 241 also burst onto the scene. For my entry today, I'm sharing a few photos that I just took of the late afternoon sun and shadows on the culms (botanical term for grass stems - bamboos are grasses) of one of the giant tropical black bamboos, Gigantochloa atroviolacea, that is growing on the property of GaiaYoga Gardens, the intentional community in far East Big Island, Hawai'i where I live (again).
The sunlight and shadows dancing across the black culms is striking indeed, adding a whole other layer of beauty. I hope that y'all dig 'em! š š ā” š„ š„ š£ š±
