When i wanted to open the garden door this morning i noticed a friendly face on the doubleglass window see 2nd picture
1 this one is for the contest :) one smiling robber fly
This is what i saw first when i opend the garden door, not easy to focus and flash through double glass window.
once i was on the other side of the glass the robber fly stayed nicely posed for me so that i had the opertunity to shoot some side shots.
we had a cold night and so it was easier to take these images the insects still need to warm up before they can become active .
Still takes practice to get the right shot, of the 35 shots i took only 7 where good enough to post in the end.
i always try to get the eyes in focus
but it's easier to miss that focus point.
