Now all the streets are covered with snow but time flies. Four or five months - and we will admire beautiful colourful tulips in our streets again. I wanted to sound optimistic but am not sure I succeeded with it. To live in a northern country means to have a big temper... we have to wait for spring for too long, sometimes till nearly calendar summer.
The days of that late May last year were excellent, and the centre of the pretty little town of Haapsalu in Estonia looked very smart and bright. Lots and lots of pretty flowers were covering lawns and flower beds. Most of the trees got leaves and added fresh green brightness to the landscape.
I do not know the names of the trees which were producing those bizarre, whimsical shadows. You can see them in the last picture taken by me another day. It demonstrates how different late May can be in Estonia.
This is my entry to this week Round 197 of the Shadow Hunters Contest. The name of the contest is "Show Me a Shadow" (or SMASh - a good idea of this acronym belongs to @gems.and.cookies). It is hosted by @melinda010100, judged by @annephilbrick and curated by @nelinoeva and @galenkp.
Here is the link to the contest: Contest
Participants must be creative to show their nice shadows. Any editing is allowed. Enter the contest - and you will see a lot of talented pictures and meet a lot of creative people.
There is another wonderful contest inside the Shadow Hunters community: you can go hunting for reflections and enter @annephilbrick 's Reflection Hunting Contest.
