Buenas tardes mis queridos amigos de esta colmena llamada Hive, espero estén todos muy bien en este día Jueves! Por aquí estuve viendo varias entradas muy interesantes de este concurso, por eso me animé a participar con estas imágenes que tomé en uno de mis viajes a Valizas, uno de los balnearios más hippies de Uruguay.
Si, Valizas es uno de los balnearios más lindos por esa movida hippie artística que hay. Está lleno de personas que van en carpa a diferentes campings, como también hay cabañas y alojamientos. Lo lindo es que hay puestitos de venta de lo que quieras en la calle principal, es decir, en la entrada al balneario.
Good afternoon my dear friends of this hive called Hive, I hope you are all very well on this Thursday! Around here I was seeing several very interesting entries of this contest, that is why I was encouraged to participate with these images that I took on one of my trips to Valizas, one of the most hippie resorts in Uruguay.
Yes, Valizas is one of the most beautiful resorts for that artistic hippie movement that there is. It is full of people who go in tents to different campsites, as well as cabins and lodgings. The nice thing is that there are stalls selling whatever you want on the main street, that is, at the entrance to the spa.
Ese verano fuimos como mochileras con una amiga de Argentina, Mica. Con ella estuvimos recorriendo parte de la costa uruguaya y en Valizas mismo conocimos a dos amigos: "Maxi y El Colo".
El Colo hacía presentaciones con sus bolas de cristal y la verdad es que el tipo era muy hábil con sus manos y con la cantidad de cristales que llegó a tener en sus manos girando, teniendo a todo el mundo espectante en su show.
Recuerdo que el Colo no tenía vestimenta para hacer el show, como sí la tenían otros artistas callejeros que tenían más tiempo viajando y trabajando de lo que tanto les gustaba. Entonces una tarde fui a buscar entre mi ropa algo que le quedara, y lo conseguí, pues le puse todo en una bolsa y cuando nos vimos le dije que tenía algo para él. Y él me queda mirando, su cara fue de sorpresa y confusión al mismo tiempo, pues él me dijo, sabes que iba a buscarte para darte un regalo también! Y wow! Eso fue una gran sorpresa para mí también.
That summer we went backpacking with a friend from Argentina, Mica. With her we were touring part of the Uruguayan coast and in Valizas itself we met two friends: "Maxi and El Colo".
Colo made presentations with his crystal balls and the truth is that the guy was very skilled with his hands and with the amount of crystals that he got in his hands spinning, having everyone watching his show.
I remember that the Colo did not have clothing to do the show, as other street artists did who had more time traveling and working than they liked so much. Then one afternoon I went to look through my clothes for something that would fit him, and I got it, because I put everything in a bag and when we met I told him I had something for him. And he stares at me, his face was surprised and confused at the same time, because he told me, you know he was going to look for you to give you a gift too! And wow! That was a big surprise for me too.
Caminamos hasta la playa con un cigarro de marihuana prendido para compartir, el mate y el termo y las bolsas con los regalos. Llegamos, nos sentamos en la arena y nos intercambiamos las bolsas. Para mi asombro era pesada, pues tenía ese cristal dentro, el más pesado, el más grande de su colección, y el más viejito, con el que más había practicado y viajado, por eso está cachado y un poco rajado, pero para mí fue el mejor regalo de navidad que me habían hecho. Y para su asombro, llegó la ropa que tanto necesitaba y su felicidad no entraba en su cuerpo, me hizo muy feliz verlo así.
El Colo era un pibe que tenía un espíritu libre y aventurero, por eso nos llevamos bien desde el primer momento. Compartimos gustos por ciertos libros y películas y eso era muy loco! Sé que volvió a Buenos Aires después de un tiempo de estar viajando por Brasil, y ahora se juntó con su novia igual que Maxi que también hacía un arte muy particular y un show muy bueno.
Estas fotos las tomé en un amanecer que estuvimos con los chicos cantando y tocando la guitarra con un grupo más grande de gente de todos lados, y yo estaba fascinada con mi cristal, iba para todos lados con él, practicaba en la arena y cuando me cansaba le tomaba fotos al reflejo invertido en la bola efecto que me pareció muy loco y lo quise compartir con ustedes, tomaré la primera imagen como entrada del concurso. We walked to the beach with a lit marijuana cigarette to share, the mate and the thermos and the bags with the gifts. We arrived, sat on the sand and exchanged bags. To my amazement it was heavy, because it had that crystal inside, the heaviest, the largest in its collection, and the oldest, with which it had practiced and traveled the most, that's why it is caught and a little cracked, but for me it was the best Christmas present they ever gave me. And to her amazement, the clothes that she needed so badly arrived and her happiness did not enter her body, it made me very happy to see him like this.
El Colo was a kid who had a free and adventurous spirit, that's why we got along well from the first moment. We shared a liking for certain books and movies and that was crazy! I know that he returned to Buenos Aires after a while of traveling through Brazil, and now he got together with his girlfriend just like Maxi who also did a very particular art and a very good show.
I took these photos at sunrise when we were with the boys singing and playing the guitar with a larger group of people from all over, and I was fascinated with my glass, I went everywhere with it, I practiced in the sand and when I I got tired, I took pictures of the inverted reflection in the effect ball that I thought was very crazy and I wanted to share it with you, I will take the first image as a contest entry. I captured them with a Samsung Galaxy J7 2016.
