Last January, the older of my two sons received his degree after completing his university studies and having satisfactorily fulfilled all the requirements requested by Venezuelan law and the authorities of his Alma Mater.
That day hundreds of young people, and some not so young, had the opportunity to live a highly gratifying experience by being rewarded for their perseverance and effort, after years of studies, where the presence of the pandemic made it even more difficult to achieve their dreams.
This series of photographs that I share with all of you today, corresponds to that happy moment, where once the graduation ceremony was over, we went to the gardens of the university campus to recreate the traditional custom of throwing into the air the cap that they wore during the ceremony.
El pasado mes de Enero, el mayor de mis dos hijos recibió su título luego de culminar sus estudios universitarios y de haber cumplido satisfactoriamente con todos los requisitos solicitados por las leyes venezolanas y las autoridades de su Alma Mater.
Ese día cientos de jóvenes, y algunos no tan jóvenes, tuvieron la oportunidad de vivir una experiencia altamente gratificante al ser recompensados por su constancia y esfuerzo, luego de años de estudios, donde la presencia de la pandemia dificultó aún más la conquista de sus sueños.
Esta serie de fotografías que hoy comparto con todos ustedes, corresponde a aquel feliz momento, donde una vez finalizado el Acto de Grado, nos dirijimos a los jardines del campus universitario para recrear la tradicional costumbre de arrojar al aire el birrete que usaron durante la ceremonia.
