Statues and People
A week ago, motivated to go for a walk, accompanied by friends I went to an exhibition to admire the urban art in a municipality of Caracas, this whole sector was happening due to the great exhibition of figures known as the meninas, the walk was quite long because most of the statues were located quite far away from each other. In each of them we could notice the great excitement of the people to pose happily with each girl, once we visited one, we left almost running to find the other, it was something like that, as if we had a map looking for the lost treasure, as the municipality is quite large, the advantage for some people is that they moved by car, for us it became an adventure, because we had to go on foot, with the sun lying down and radiating strong. We left in the morning and it was late in the afternoon.
What I loved about the whole exhibition was that it turned into two exhibitions: one of statues and one of shadows, which I could take advantage of for the shadow contest, as it was great the projection of the sun in every corner, I took advantage of the crowd to take pictures, I didn't really pose, I just took some pictures, the queues to take pictures were very long and under the sun I was already tanning.
But I want to tell you that I thought this exhibition was great, the meninas have their history and we had the luxury of seeing them up close, thanks to the support of the Venezuelan artist Antonio Azzato, who came from Madrid with his creation and design to delight us with his art, being a successful and internationally recognised artist.
And, on the other hand, I have the satisfaction of being reunited with my former work colleagues, now that I am retired. It was exciting to share all together and spend a different kind of day walking through squares and avenues, all to meet the 19 meninas, a beautiful encounter that will remain in my memory.

Estatuas y Personas
Hace una semana motivada para pasear, acompañada de amigos me fui a una exposición para admirar el arte urbano en un Municipio de Caracas, todo este sector estaba acontecido debido a la gran exhibición de figuras conocidas como las meninas, la caminata fue bastante larga porque la mayoría de las estatuas estaban ubicadas en sitio bastante lejos una de otras. En cada una de ellas podíamos notar la gran algarabía de la gente para posar alegremente con cada menina, una vez que visitábamos a una, salíamos casi corriendo a buscar la otra, era algo así, como si teníamos un mapa buscando el tesoro perdido, ya que el Municipio es bastante grande, la ventaja para unas personas es que trasladaban en carro, para nosotros se convirtió en una aventura, porque teníamos que ir a pie, con el sol acuesta e irradiando fuerte. Salimos en la mañana y se nos hizo la tarde.
Lo que me encanto de toda esa exposición, es que ella se tornó en dos exhibiciones: una de estatuas y otra de sombras, la cual pude sacar el provecho de ello para el concurso de sombra, ya que era genial la proyección del sol en todos los rincones, aproveche el tumulto de la gente para tomar las fotos, en realidad yo no pose, me basto con tomar algunas imágenes, las colas para sacarse foto eran muy largas y bajo el solazo ya me estaba bronceando.
Pero quiero decirles que me pareció estupenda esta exposición, las meninas tienen su historia y tuvimos el lujo de verlas de cerca, gracias al apoyo del artista venezolano Antonio Azzato, quien vino desde Madrid con su creación y diseño para deleitarnos con su arte, siendo un artista exitoso y reconocido internacionalmente.
Y, por otra parte, me queda la satisfacción de reunirme con mis excompañeros de trabajo, ahora que estoy jubilada. Fue emocionante compartir todos juntos y pasar un día diferente recorriendo plazas y avenidas, todo por conocer a las 19 meninas, un bonito encuentro que queda en la memoria.
