Reflection Hunters Contest ~ Round 107 | Nature of the Arctic

Hello, friends.
Today I want to offer you reflection of the northern nature of Siberia. I took these photos in September 2011 on the Bolshaya Kheta River, a tributary of the Yenisei beyond the Arctic Circle. The natural area there is forest tundra, trees, mainly larches, grow along the banks of rivers and lakes. In those places in September it is already late autumn and nature is preparing for a long and harsh winter.

The larches have already turned yellow and have begun to shed their needles. On a bright sunny day, the beauty around is extraordinary: blue sky and water in lakes, golden trees and burgundy bushes.

On a cloudy day, nature looks more modest: golden trees on a gray background.

Location: Russia Siberia
Camera: Panasonic Lumix DMC-S1
