The Wheelbarrow and Oh, Cats! (SMASh 269)

Hello Hunters! Great day :)

Sharing these photos which were taken at the other house on two different days. I mentioned previously that we are having some works done on our small yard over there and the wheelbarrow had been spending its time in the spaces outside. While on my way to see mom at their house, I noticed the shadow of the beaten ride (I say so because it had been used and abused, lol) and I could not resist photographing it. I'm obviously thinking of the Shadow Hunters community during that time.

These two were photographed in April. The sun was bright and it was almost mid-day hence, the shadows are short. The wheelbarrow was one of those things which we picked up from my brother's new place when we drove to the other mountain sometime ago. The laborers didn't clean it and hardened cements are seen in almost every part of it.

And these succeeding photos below were on the 2nd of May and the wheelbarrow was parked in the middle of the yard. One of the kittens was taking shelter under it. I was initially interested to photograph the little cat and didn't want her to go away so I just let her enjoy her moment while I took a snapshot from some 3 meters away.

But when I slowly inched in towards her, the kitten stood up and rushed out of the shade, lol! She's quite a snob, yeah? She's one who doesn't want to be touched whilst her two siblings are very friendly and they like being cuddled.

Anyway, I just took another shot of the shadow and then went on to check on mom. She was asleep though so I didn't bother her.

On coming back to the yard, I caught up with the kitten's mother (along with her shadow) and she's seemingly enjoying her walk under the hot sun.

I went back inside the house afterwards.

And here ends my participation to Round 269 of the Shadow Hunters contest by Melinda. Do check it out if you are yet to join the community and start the fun of hunting for some shadows (and reflections) too!

Meanwhile, it's Sunday here and it's Mother's Day too. My sister and her fam will be spending and celebrating the occasion at mum's so I'm not worried a bit. The husband had planned on a road trip after the mass which we were supposed to attend this morning but I had a really bad stomach which I believe was due to a mango-flavored snack that I had been nibbling on last night. We ended up staying in and perhaps just spend the day quietly here in our lil kingdom where it's joyful to hear the birds happily chirping and chorusing out the yard, something I had been missing while we were at the other place.

Here's to a Happy weekend! And my warm greetings to all the Mothers out there! May your today and everyday be filled with lots of love and cheer!

Photos are my own. 14052023/09:35ph*
