these shadows are from on old fuel bunker at the harbor dock back when Stavern was a more active commercial port. originally the fuel station was operated by BP and painted in their colors
though the tank is not particularly beautiful it is now protected as a historic landmark. in spite of that a local restaurant has painted an ad on it. now there are plans of repainting it in the original colors
the most attractive feature of the bunker is the shadow of the ladder when the sun is in this position
