summer is definitely the season for picnics and fortunately there happens to be picnic tables placed around in scenic spots where one can enjoy the food, the scenery and the moment. there are different organizations, governmental as wel as private who put out these tables and they are well received and put to good use.
but unless they are fastened in place they sometimes get moved around. for example, this one at a beach for the youngest children. it may have been placed there innocently when the tide was very low but my guess is that some pranksters had finished their drinks and decided have some 'unthoughtful' fun and moved the table.
it probably didn't get much use here in the water and hopefully was removed soon after but it did make for an unusual reflection. and yes these are reflections not shadows- it was a gray day with no sun.
