in this post the fourth photo is my contest entry.

the nearby city of Larvik is very fortunate to have a unique underground spring with exceptionally pure and healthy mineral water. the coastal city is built on a glacial moraine that was below sea level during the last ice age. as the glacier melted the land gradually rose to it's present level. rainwater filters very slowly through the various layers of earth accumulating a variety of minerals on the way. it takes at least 15 years for surface water to reach the deep spring. much of the sulfur is filtered away but it is still rich in minerals when the water is carbonated, bottled and marketed under the name Farris.

now you may have heard of people who claim to survive on only air and light- or as we say in norway luft og kjærlighet- air and love. no food or even water. this of course is highly suspect and is almost certainly not possible so please don't try it. however under the right circumstances it is possible to not only survive but also thrive on a much smaller intake of food than what we are accustomed to. in india there are a number of holy men as well as some women who practice a strict life of spiritual devotion and eat and sleep very little but are somehow able to gain nourishment through prana and light.

years ago my wife was connected to one guru who taught her some of the basic techniques involved. she ultimately chose not to follow this discipline. she does however still possess the skill of consuming light. the water must be very pure and the sun must have just the right intensity and frequency. under these conditions those with the proper knowledge can trap light in the water, magnify it and drink it, thus gaining what is mistakenly referred to as pranic nourishment. (in reality it is not pranic at all. it could be better described as luminous nourishment if it weren't for some silly shampoo advertisement.)

it's not a trick nor is it connected to a particular religion or belief. there's no secret mantra or chant, but the person must be pure at heart and the conditions must be just right.

though some experience of meditation is beneficial, it is not mandatory to undergo years of strict training, it does help a great deal if those who do this are very much in love. being in love in itself purifies the heart and opens oneself to new possibilities. one day years ago my wife taught me how to do this. both inside and outside my entire mouth and throat were totally immersed in light. i have only done this when i was younger. i doubt that i would be able to do this now at my age and state of mind

to those who cannot fathom the possibilities that are open to those who seek, there is of course an alternate explanation to the events depicted above.
early in the month of june about 9 pm the evening sun reflects off our neighbors window and sends a thin ray of light into our north facing kitchen window. if one stands exactly in the right place at the right time it is conceivable that anybody could replicate this and appear to drink light regardless of their spiritual state, openness of heart or diet. it would still make a good story- but not as good as the real one.

melinda010100 has requested that i become a shadow hunters moderator and i have agreed so sadly this will be my last post in this fabulous contest. i have very much enjoyed participating and will certainly miss it. i wish all fellow contestants the best in their reflection hunting endeavors
