if you have been following this contest you know that a parade means the mystery has been correctly solved. this week some of the folks celebrating were kind enough to leave their uniforms at home. it must have been the summer heat.
traditionally before we get to the winners i introduce the judges. while some traditions are best tacitly neglected, important ones such as getting to know the judges are essential to uphold culture and mustn't be haphazardly neglected.
one cloudy day i approached a promising individual and began wheedling and wangling as per usual. however well into the discussion i began wondering if i had been too hasty. the more i studied the man the more i realized he was thoroughly unlike all the others who turned and stared as they passed us by. usually that is a good sign. strict adherence to normality typically renders a person too judgmental to be suited to fairly adjudicate most anything at all. however there is a limit to how unique a candidate can be and when he started to chew on a carrot we were rabbitly nearing that limit.
my mind began contemplating how to politely excuse myself from the conversation, which i alone had initiated, without both insulting this odd but innocent fellow and also making a total fool of myself. he was all ears but i was considering just bolting like a rabbit when suddenly the sun burst through the clouds. i was taken aback by the unanticipated shadow that suddenly appeared.
all doubt was instantly cast aside and i knew with certainty that my intuition and first impression had been correct all along. when he finished off the carrot we quickly agreed he would take on the task at hand. i must say he performed his duties flawlessly. he innately avoided being drawn down numerous rabbit holes and he didn't attempt to pull any long-eared furry little creatures out of his hat. as for me i am proud to have had the opportunity to meet him and introduce him to this wonderful community who i hop will accept him with open arms and minds.
finally the solution to the mystery. not a single rabbit in sight.

This shadow looks like the long eared fiddler, who listens without straining due to his long ears that roll out beyond the horizons acting as listening posts for all subtle sounds. He then weaves them into melodies so rapturous that all of humanity drops their differences (autocorrected to drawls) and unites. All is one and one is all.

@brume7 for: Roger Rabbit is clearly seen driving his car and is on his way to pick up Jessica Rabbit, who is furiously waiting for him because they are going to be late for the movie premiere😁.
@sofs-su for: It is Easter bunny for sure, relaxing against a pillow with his right foot over his left as if he is engaged in something serious while relaxing, perhaps watching bugs bunny on his ipad.
Or maybe he is calculating his next business venture, perhaps into the pharmaceutical industry producing for producing viruses and the required vaccine cures.
However I think this is a basket (or container of some sort) being lifted up with a pulley or some such gadget.
