A mast on SMASh

My day...

...begins with yawns and mirrors. Yes, mirrors. I have to see what I look like before leaving my house.

The rays of the sun always casts shadows through my curtain. See the ‘Checkers Custard’, that is the back of the mirror. I thought those were some beautiful columns (or are they rows?) just before I picked it up.

The sun is never forgiving in the Northern states of Nigeria. I do not think this set of growing palm trees agree though. These things grow in any condition…

See my wee head with the camera… The poles looked like a mast without sails.

Young boys in my country go in search of discarded irons and aluminum for money. The sack is way bigger and thicker than the shadow looks…

This truck is always in the same place every day I go to work. It is rusty on the outside, but occasionally, I don't find it in position. I guess it is still in use.

The landmark of my small restaurant is that massive shadow. Yaro Plaza. I have a few customers there too. Got to meet the landlady once and she was so down to earth you’d never suspect that her husband owned the building and several others (according to what I was told).

The picture that takes my vote would be the mast. Would I ever get to be on a sailor’s ship? 👇

This is my entry to the Shadow Hunters / SMASh Contest-Round 325
