Happy weekend, amazing people!

The past 2 days, I was able to see the sun, and thank goodness, I was able to dry my tons of laundry. I just finished the last basket today, and my muscles are sore. What a day!

Anyway, I thought I'd do some shadow hunting today. Economically speaking, the Philippines is again experiencing a rise in inflation, and one commodity that has been affected is rice. Recently, our president announced a price cap on rice in a bid to arrest surging costs caused by supply shortages. Yesterday, after dropping my daughter off at school, I went to the market to buy some rice since it was market day here in my town, but to my surprise, all rice retailers were closed. They were all on strike. That was a bummer. So I went back home and went straight to the small store next door, and luckily, they still had some rice for sale. I only bought 3 kilos, enough to get by for me and my daughter for a week.

On my way to the store, I pass a warehouse of beverages. It was around 8 a.m., and speaking of rice, I saw its huge shadow on the ricefield. I needed to take a few photos intended for this community. So here it is: my entry to @melinda010100's SMASh Round 286.

Thank you for stopping!
