Per ripararsi dagli sguardi degli estranei solitamente vengono inseriti i rametti e le foglie delle piante dei giardini attorno alle bacchette di legno incrociate che formano semplici griglie. Ma, quando tra le bacchette di legno non ci sono foglie o fiori profumati, i telai risultano inutili e rimane solamente la loro ombra sul pavimento.
