The famous chair with a curved beech wood back was created in the 19th century by Michael Thonet and became famous as the “Vienna chair”. This type of chair became popular in tea rooms and many private homes. Thonet's style was imitated by many companies and represents an original synthesis between traditional carpentry and modern design.

Questo genere di sedia si diffuse nelle sale da tè e in molte abitazioni private.
